Season Ticket Sales (1 Viewer)

Surely going to be a net loss for them then if there is only a small increase in numbers sold at such a cheaper price

That is always the danger. Think they said they need to average around 10K attendance so if the lower price doesn't increase the crowds we will be looking at a cut to the player budget I would imagine.

I still reckon it will end up 5000 ST and 2000 match packages

There is the match packages as well which appear to be very popular so not necessarily.

Also I'm sure a lot will buy tickets after the early bird. I've not bought yet but will before the start of the season. I've probably failed to meet the discount deadline 50% of the time.

Bradford have sold £15,000 season tickets and Flexi cards - puts our "nearly 4000" to shame, would say our squads/budgets are on par with eachother - they had the money from a good cup run but are not signing anyone special!

Bradford have for years adopted an approach that makes it very cost ineffective not to have a season ticket unless you go to only a few games.

It's not brilliant as a revenue generator. If we did it people would bitch about match pricing and the fact they couldn't pay in one go.

Cool idea by Charlton:

Charlton Athletic players have come up with an unusual way to reward fans in a bid to boost season ticket sales.

Their campaign #PlayerPledge kicks off today, with a squad member taking part in dares or forfeits for every 100 season tickets sold.

Captain Johnnie Jackson is leading the way and has committed to deliver the 100th ticket by hand.

Not the most exciting of dares perhaps, but it is when the 32-year-old appears at the wheel of Only Fools & Horses legendary three-wheeled Robin Reliant.

Peckham, the home of the BBC sitcom, is a heartland for Charlton supporters and one lucky fan will be able to meet their hero and collect their tickets.

Once Jackson has completed his pledge he will nominate a colleague to perform the next challenge.

When people are buying season tickets in the shop what is it that's taking so long? Surely you just pick where you want to sit, give them your details if you're not already on the system and then pay. There's not any finance option to deal with so what takes them so long?

I genuinely don't know. Me and my dad were there for ages but that was because we were behind someone getting 8 season tickets.

But the actual time from saying hello at the till to walking out the door was about 5 minutes. We moved seats too. It would be better if all three tills could sell tickets though. There was 4 other staff members who were unable to do anything and looking rather apologetic about it.

Does my head in when you go in and customers do want to stand and chat?

I had it once trying to buy tickets at Gallagher and the guy was talking about when he first went to a city game etc, the woman was looking at the queue as if to say sorry but he went on and on.

Did he start talking about his camper van?

The packages are decent, I had one last year as I worked weekends and couldn't make some week games and it saved money. Will get a ST this season though!

Just slightly less than last season
Was It worth discounting?

Difficult to say if they hadn't discounted what would the numbers have been like? Equally the ones that have bought may have bought anyway.

it helped me to renew as I was on the fence

When we went in to buy / renew 8 season tickets, the bloke behind us kept tutting so we deliberately made loads of mistakes and took ages. Managed to drag it out to 45 minutes in the end....

⚽️

Actually the poor woman who was on the only working till said it was something to do with the fixtures having been released as it now 'has to do it for each fixture' - her words not mine.

Apparently a lot of people buying or trying to be season tickets pakages in the shop today, hopefully they'll be busy over the next two days and those people who have decided not to get one this season get cold feet and cave in

I am getting a sniff of people being outraged that CCFC made season tickets cheaper and because of that we didn't sign Messi.

WHAT??? Bunch of fucking jokers #SISUOUT

Yeah I'm not buying a season ticket or going to games, too expensive and a rip off for League One. Can't believe they cut the prices though, the playing budget is disgusting now :(
