I know when Catfish and the Bottlemen played the Ricoh there was so many problems with getting people in their tour manager basically took over and got people in.

Such a shame, as badly managed as the Ricoh was under CCC and Higgs the actual staff were great and well thought of in the industry, winning several awards.

I don’t know the rules but if a system just doesn’t work I’d assume there is a way round it surely can’t be right to just send punters back to a long queue at the ticket office and for what ? the same problem perhaps.
If there are regular long term ticketing issues it needs highlighting with the likes of local media or even MPs

Our ticket issue was simply the paper not being aligned properly with the printer, so the bar code was not central. I would have been miffed if there was a huge queue when went back 30 mins before kick off but my wife thrust her way to the front anyway to point it out quickly so they didn't continue to print more duff tickets on that particular machine, so sorted quickly.

I asked the steward at the bottom of the stairs why he was checking my ticket again. He apologised and said there was a raised level of security after what happened at Westminster. Guess they think either a terrorist won’t buy a full price ticket or he will try and sit in someone else’s seat!

I'm still on replacement paper tickets as my ST hasn't arrived yet (another issues entirely) but surely there's a manual button on the turnstiles to allow people in? (emergency services?)

Going back round to the ticket office isn't a 30 second thing. It's at least 15 minutes.

Not sure what you mean, the bar code was all visible but some had spilled on the blue strip rather than the white middle and the reader wouldn't accept it. We tried several turnstiles before a steward actually twigged what the issue was, I pleaded for him to take the stub and let us in but he insisted we had to go and queue up again. I might add we arrived at the Ricoh at 12.30 to avoid large queues when they printed them the first time. Still not the end of the world !

• I had a steward sat next to me and another in the row in front of me. My mates thought it was hilarious. And the same at the first home game too, and got checked over numerous times. I've never seen it like this at the Ricoh, definetly over the top.

The Block 15/16 thing is a pain in the arse for me - I’m the only City supporting mate in my group, so it’s a hard sell as it is to people (£25+ to watch league 1 football) without sitting in amongst the sandwich brigade.

On top of that I normally go 5/6 times a year on my own - again I don’t want to drive the 2 hours up and sit in silence for 90 minutes.

Im in the same boat mate. I ended up buying a season ticket for one of my kids in B15 so that I can then buy my ticket in person in block 15 as "friend of a season ticket holder". I mean fuck me who else in the football world has this sort of problem buying a ticket for a half empty stadium.

I wouldn't mind but the ST still hasn't arrived yet due to a "printing problem" - can't make this shit up.
