I'm sure he will become a Blade at some point in the future.

Personally, I don't view him as not good enough for us, just a player who isn't as great as he is made out to be.
He’s also nowhere near as bad as some try to make out.

As I’ve said elsewhere, he’s a player who’ll go on to play for a better team than us yet is apparently not good enough for us.

A bit like players like Jacob Murphy.

Like I said, that's a serious come down from the things you and others have said before. Evidently this is now causing you a lot of trauma.

Trying to horseshoe him in after his injury too soon didn’t help. He’s not the same player (yet) he was before the summer

He needs to be put back in his pre 2022 role as a DM not some box to box midfielder. I’d actually play him very deep, almost as the central CB of a back three so he can pick the ball up, recycle, play out from the back rather than trying to play the final ball or shoot.

Yea let’s turn on our best manager of recent times.

And now our best midfielder. Like him or not, think he’s overrated or not, he is our best midfielder and we need him to start playing again.

He was poor today, and has been since he came back, but he doesn’t suddenly become shit.

Re his demeanour. I assume most people here have played football - or you can even equate it to work - naturally your head is going to drop somewhat when your constantly losing games and have no faith in the players (colleagues) around you. Doesn’t mean he wishes he left.

But we love a worst case scenario on here.

Last year he was asked to play the Hamer role + his own. It didn’t work.

This year he’s being asked to play a different role again, and it isn’t working.

Lack of a Hamer replacement is telling again.

Yep-that coupled with the loss of O’Hare is very telling. O’Hare was often the link that got us on the front foot and up the pitch. People were shouting from the rooftops that Rudoni was a better player than O’Hare. I think we probably now know the answer to this now as he’s left a gaping hole.
This along with the non replacement of Hamer over the last couple of transfer windows has left us with a terribly weak midfield that we have to bumble along with until January at the least unfortunately.

Not replacing Hamer has been a major fuck up. Agree he should have been eased back in we were told our entire season being successful would happen when he returned from injury, which was ridiculous considering how much has been spent.
I mean we did try to replace him, the replacement just can’t get in the team.

Was thinking this myself and the general midfield dynamic is far too fluid. None of them seem to have defined roles so it gets quite messy.

Who would that be? Torp? Trouble is we were spoiled with the gems that were Hamer and Vic. An almost impossible task to replace like for like. Once in a generation players unfortunately.

He was crap, slowed everything down to a snails pace. Should have been eased back in in fairness. Failure to get in another CM was another massive fuck up.

And if I recall correctly, it happened fairly early on in pre-season. If it was the back-end of the window I think it could be forgiven slightly, but we had plenty of warning.

Surprised you rate Hamer - only 30 or so Prem appearances!

Sorry but he literally didn’t play for most of the last two seasons. The idea there’s a sudden hole is a nonsense. We are missing Hamer massively. We’ve managed without O’Hare for an extended period before.

Hamer is back in The Championship. I thought he was great for us but once in a generation is madness.
Vik maybe, it's starting to look like we had one of the best strikers on the planet playing for us.

Got to agree with that. Not saying O’Hare wasn’t a talent but the sheer time off the pitch means we were able to cope very adequately without him. We’ve signed good individual talent with the Hamer and Yok cash but the blend of personalities and balance of the squad is wrong.

So Rudoni (who was apparently the replacement) or O’Hare? Who would you have in the team?
I’d say a combination of the loss of the two (Hamer and O’Hare) see’s us at the point we are now regarding the midfield.

I think they’re different players. Ones a ten and ones an eight for a start. We got to the PO final without O’Hare, most of last season was without O’Hare. He’s a decent player but he wasn’t integral to us like Vik and Gus.

Maybe that’s half the problem-where is his best position? Still think O’Hare is a miss though aswell.

I’d probably drop Sheaf on Tuesday if we had anyone worth replacing him with. Been absolute shite this season.

I’m a massive fan of Rudoni - we aren’t getting the best out of him. Partly as we’re asking him to play a role he isn’t used to. Sound familiar?!

I liked COH too, but he probably had a dozen good games in two years through injury and match sharpness. So he hasn’t left the same hole a permanent fixture like Hamer did. But I agree his ability is missed.

O Hare is massively superior to Rudoni. Rudoni is mentally weak and hides when you need leadership - he was abysmal on Saturday

I dont think O’Hare was massively superior to Rudoni. He did have a few great games. Birmingham springs to mind, but he also had quite a few mediocre performances.
I genuinely think Rudoni will come good and probably has a higher ceiling than O’Hare.

I don’t recall feeling a massive void when O’Hare was injured, we put in some great performances without him. I donot want to come across as knocking the lad as he didn’t stay, but equally I’m not wearing rosey tinted glasses regarding him.

Difference so far for me with O’Hare is that even before we get to talking about who is better out the two, he at least looked for involvement - was common to see him pop up and try and create little triangles with players like Sheaf here and there.

I didn’t see much of Rudoni on Saturday and all I remember of him is him taking corners and free kicks. He needs to assert himself more on the game especially when our midfield has it and needs someone to play into.

He certainly goes missing for quite long periods. So far a disappointing signing. Was hoping for much more after the hype, perhaps high expectations on my part. He has to start grasping the game more. One thing O'hare didn't do was hide .
