Hamer was clearly the difference maker between the 2 sides. When we went to the playoff final, we had 2 cheat codes in Hamer and Gyokeres. We need to unearth a couple this offseason if we want to go up.

It’s just pathetic a player who jumped ship from us got a better reception after scoring than our goalkeeper got going off with a season ending injury

Makes us look completely tinpot
Hamer who bailed on us in this league while staying in it to help a team I despise wipe the floor is always a sore one.

Wilder is a very lucky man to have him.

If we played Gyokeres next season in the FA Cup, what would you want our fans to do?

Vik made us a wedge and will make us a wedge whenever he moves on from Sporting

I’ll always value his honestly that he saw us as a stepping stone to bigger and better things over Hamer’s cringe pretend to love the club badge kissing routine just to bail out at the first opportunity

Hamer also made us a lot of money?

Gyokeres probably gives little to no shits about us anymore.

And Hamer does? He might pull the wool over your eyes with a muted celebration and the odd appearance in the directors box when Sheff U ain’t playing, but he’s a turncoat to me and always will be and I stopped giving a toss when he left

Vik will always be an exception to the rule as he is and probably for years will be the finest player I have seen wear the shirt

Hamer was as important to us as Gyokeres was, especially in those final few months when Vik slowed.

I didn't really clap or pay much attention but equally I'm not surprised people still love him. I'm also not surprised people hate O'Hare.

Both him and O'Hare gave everything for us and made great contributions, let's just move on.

Finally home. Road closures can get to fuck with fans who applaud the oppo players mid game because they did well for us, deduct every one of them 50 supporter points 🤦🏻

Just outclassed tonight. Second in every department. If Sheff United have any sense they’ll stick with the gremlin and play that counter attacking style in the prem next season. Might give them a 5% chance of staying up versus no chance if they sack him and try to play total football.

Gutted RE Dovin. I sort of understand the theory behind Collins as second choice as he is marginally better with his feet than Wilson. Hopefully not dropping a bollock tonight and making one reasonable (if routine) save helps with his confidence. But it is an almighty blow to lose a far superior keeper for the run in.

Disappointed Lampard didn’t change it up sooner and have a go. Probably wouldn’t have made any difference though. The gap between us and a full flow Leeds and Sheff is massive. I don’t see us threatening the top two next season either… the prem money is insurmountable.

I just can’t wrap my head around any opposition player being applauded during the match, yet alone when we are losing and his side have just injured our goalkeeper in a nothing challenge knackering him for the season

You give ex players adulation like we did Fadz last season, at the end of a nothing match not in a vitally important game which we are losing

Just like I think him opting not to celebrate an important goal for his side is strange as well

Everyone around me applauded his goal. Was incredibly embarrassing. I imagine they booed O’hare when he came on however I had left by then

Yeah, pissed me off all the fans clapping him when he came over to take a corner. Fucking stupid.

Also annoying fans around me slagging off their own players constantly. Collins did well and made a few great saves. He'll be fine.

Only highlight was the mouthy fuckers behind me missed our goal as they slunk off early.

Just got back, so bedtime now. Hope that WBA and Bristol City lose tomorrow. We'll still be in the top six come season end.

Also just got back. Being right behind the goal apparently means I can’t call offsides as well as the lineo.

Who’d have thought it? Not too concerned about the result. Pretty concerned about Dovin who I hope returns strong after this injury.

Statistically Collins is one of the league’s worst keepers this season. Let’s hope he’s had a revelation in the last few months.
If an attacking player goes anywhere near him he shits himself.
Stops the odd shot and that’s it.
He looked scared to death when he came on last night. Everyone on the touch line were doing their best to gee him up.

Based on tonight, I definitely wouldn’t fancy our chances against them in the play-offs. They’re a lot, lot better than us.

Given 2 weeks ago we smashed the team comfortably in 4th you'd have to say its hard to see beyond whoever finishes 3rd prevailing in the play offs.
Off course football doesn't always work like that.

Always been the case hasn't it, just got to get there and hope for the best though. It's a neutral venue, we'd have big support, players that can turn it on when they feel like it. We'd have a punchers chance for sure.

Fuck your Friday night football, that was up there with one of the worst journeys to and from a football match.

Nothing new to take from last night as it went as expected. Whilst we have a claim to be the best of the rest, we are miles off the top 3. My only gripe was EMC leaving Bidwell exposed, but in hindsight he was the only one causing them a threat so I get why he stayed so high.

Special mention for how shite their fans were all night, a few gobby 16 year olds in either corner giving it loads but apart from that it was as soulless as Hillsborough.

They seriously have to look at the parachute payments system. What's the point in the rest of us even trying right now

Rewarding failure! If the relegated club wants to pay stupid wages whilst in the premier league then that’s their issue! System is massively flawed. You watch next season, you can all but guarantee that the 3 that come down will be within the top 4-6 next season. Luton this season is a very rare exception in my eyes

Not surprising after the way his own fans were treating him at Portsmouth.

The yoof you describe are the brainless ones.
