Hes 28 at the end of the season and it seems the only club who were remotely interested was a championship club who offered less than what we received for him
That doesn't mean he's not a better player than O'Hare, though, which he clearly is.

Though with all the sour grapes, there is some serious revisionism of how important O'Hare was to us, too.

Ultimately, though, who cares. Neither play for us.

well hamer is in the same team and there wasn’t exactly a stampede to sign him
And O'Hare ended up in the same division as the side he left, admittedly for a stronger side with more money - At least Hamer went up a division when he left us

At the end of the day we sustained a run to the play off final in a season which O'Hare played a handful of times, without Hamer or Gyokeres in our team we do not make the play off final or come close to anywhere near it

I'd have been happy for O'Hare to stay, but was I even half as bothered to lose him than I was the other two? Not a cat in hells chance

Wonder if OHare playing v Luton in CPOF we might have edged it.
Funny how Sheff Utd are not playing Hamer in his best position, classic Wilder.
I agree with poster who said we all need to now ignore these two and support our current lads.👍

Hope we put O’Hare out for the season the little prick TBH.

Ffs. This is an awful attitude.

Player who came to us on a free, gave good service, we tried to sell for a profit, got badly injured, returned to fitness, and left *the same way he arrived* as his contract ran out.

I wish he hadn’t joined a team I really dislike but he hasn’t done anything wrong.

I don’t like players that take the piss out of my club 🤷🏻‍♂️ You’ll notice he’s about the only player I’ve got an issue with because none of the rest are full of themselves have it the big I love the club lied repeatedly then ran their contract down while refusing to play properly then slagged the club off.

As I said. Prick.

His comments about MR dropping him were needless and really left a bitter taste for me - MR made him what he is and deserved more respect than that

He got stick for it at the time cause people didn't want to hear it but I have nothing but respect for how upfront and honest Vik was about moving on, much rather that than the whole kiss the badge play to the fans spiel that Hamer and O'Hare did

Hamer hasn’t said anything about the club since he left and was up front about it the whole way through. Not his fault no one came in bar Sheff Utd. He also earned the club £15m.

Hamer was telling everyone at Forest Green last pre season that he loves the club and the City and is going nowhere, I know cause I was there

Which at the time was true because nobody was interested in him. And had Sander Berge not been sold to Burnley, nobody would have been.

Anyone who thinks any of our players would turn down PL football is naive. The Sheff Utd bid came in last minute. He wasn’t angling for it for a good year.

Listen, you hate the ex players you want and I’ll hate the ones I want how about that?

I don't hate either of them, I just think COH was a little misguided in his comments about MR when he joined Sheff U and Hamer's head was a little more elsewhere than people would have you believe

He was angling for as soon as the play offs ended and went to the only offer he received - what’s naive is believing he wanted to ever stay

Who knows but for me if Hamer didn't go off injured we'd have won in normal time
Really? We created 1 chance in the whole game (and scored from it). We got better 2nd half defensively true, but should of been 3-0 down at half time in truth

We were growing and growing into that game after we scored, Hamer fed Godden through who blazed one over and he went off injured moments later

So yes, I think we would have gone on to score another if Hamer had stayed on

If Hamer had Stayed on and it Still Went to Penalties he Would've Taken a Penalty Before Dobo and Score.

We Might be Getting the Parachute Payments Now. 🙈

100% if Hamer had stayed on we’d have won the final. We were absolutely battered for about 65 mins (very similar to Man U!) and should have been out of sight. Could have been 5 down! But Hamer flicked a switch and when we scored, he was dictating play and there was only going to be one winner.
It’s such a shame because Hamer and Gyokores would have caused serious problems for opponents in the PL.

Hamer scoring would have just extended the penalties not won it.

Just catching up with this thread, horrendous comment. Man changes job, probably for more money - shock horror! He was great for us, good luck to him, move on.
That is debatable. He was good in spells but lets be truthful over the duration of his time here he wasnt outstanding
