There is obviously something in him the prem clubs don’t fancy fitness maybe an issue and we do see our players and ex players as being better than they maybe are.
He still looked very chunky yesterday watching him but it didn't stop him getting around the park .
Perhaps he's just one of those players who naturally looks a bit baulkier than others

I love the revisionist history about O’Hare. He’s class, end of. I bet we would have won the playoffs that year if he’d have been fit.
The talk of Rudoni being better is laughable at the moment. He had a good against Oxford, the rest he’s been anonymous

Agree albeit their statistics are not hugely dissimilar at this point this season. Was really surprised at O'Hare's tackling statistics.

Just got to say - I hate it that Sheff Utd have 2 of our best ex-players when we don’t seem to have replaced either of them!
This is going to bite us on the arse now we’ve missed the boat in the transfer window!
Sour grapes I know but this has really pissed me off.

What I always think is, O'Hare, Sheaf, Gykores, Doyle, Mcnally, etc came from Premiership clubs, Hamer from the Eredivisiie while Rudoni, Thomas, Kitching, EMC, Latibeaudiere, Collins etc don't, a lot were from a league lower
Lati came from Swansea and was a full Jamaican international.

McNally was making the numbers up @Burnley in the championship wasn't he?

I recon most of us could get in to the Jamaican team to be fair. Hardly a top internation team or country
I doubt it may not be amongst the big sides but have a feeling most of their players are better than all of us on this forum. Mason Greenwood is now also considering playing for them.

Interesting that city now getting bigger crowds than Sheffield united in both games so far this season at home .

Mad how things change

Our atmosphere was the worst it's been in years on Saturday and yet it was significantly louder than the Sheffield United game.

let’s be honest it’s the former most of the time but let’s hope we have found another couple of gems
In 7 years we’ve gone from scrapping the dregs of the transfer market signing Yakubh, Stephen Hunt, Darius Henderson and so on… to spending 10s of millions of pound on players.

You don’t get there by having poor recruitment. People are judging far too much on 4 games. Every year we get off to a slowish start, the knives are out and the same people look v silly come end of the season.

The year we won League 1, people were calling for Robins head around Xmas and likewise with the slow start in 2022/23. Last season, plenty of people criticised the players and they were since proven to be v wrong.

Too many irrational takes on here.

Which makes some of the comments about Rudoni seem even more ridiculous. He’s 4 years younger than COH and imo, will end up being the better player.

His first half performance against Oxford in the league was quality. Our attacking talent are struggling atm because we’re not controlling the midfield. Eccles and Torp as a partnership needs working on because something isn’t quite right there atm.

I think it hurts more as they are in the same division as us. Still wouldn't put it past us to beat them when they rock up here later this season. What I would like is for Bobby Thomas (or similar) to put O'Hare in row Z (much as I loved him and Gus in Sky Blue) You can't keep your heroes forever (same for 99% of clubs and players).

It didn’t seem to be the case when he joined us. He looks overweight for a footballer, it’s probably why there’s been a lack of PL interest in him over the summer.

Apparently he wouldn’t even get in our first team these days, so I don’t see why he’d be a threat to us.

He's only two years younger, well 23 months and 25 days.

I wouldn't say it's Eccles and Torp per se rather than the 3 of them as a unit. To my mind Rudoni especially without the ball doesn't get close enough to the other two. Then again, maybe it is them as it's really noticeable that when they're out of possession they drop to just in front of the centre backs, presumably so as not to leave a pocket of space. It creates a big gap between them and Rudoni so he needs to come deeper (as does Simms to provide an outlet for the ball).

We need to move on from Hamer and O'Hare, Blades fans are laughing at those City fans that are crying. Rudoni, Sheaf, Eccles, Torp will be fine once we get up and running and defence settles.
I doubt anyone is crying about them, but it’s important they don’t get booed on return as really it only ever motivates the player.

Agreed, but equally I don't want to see them applauded until their game is over either, as it gives the impression they are bigger than the club. The best thing we can do is completely ignore their existence, and if anyone wants to applaud, then do so at the end when hopefully they are on the losing team.

COH wasn't even in the same ball park as Vik or Hamer

A decent Championship player and no more
