Lad tried opening his car door to start on me as I walked back to the coaches. He was parked by the Greggs and starting edging towards me as I walked across the front of his car so shot the driver a dirty look and the pasenger exploded. Tried saying something to me but couldn't really work out what he was saying, so pushed his car door closed, told him to fuck off and went on my (confused) merry way.

I remember the day we went down in 2001. Almost like how my parents remembered the Kennedy shooting or the first man on the moon. I remember the time my nan told me about the blitz in Coventry. The day her wedding dress was bombed in Owen Owen’s. I also remember the day Doug “feckin” King told us he’d sacked Robbins and felt just like all of the above. What I’m trying to say is this. Forget memories (good or bad) forget past and let’s sing the Sky Blue Army to the Premiership as a whole. We all love this team and let’s believe it’s our time. C’mon city 🩵🩵🩵

Simms winner felt like this seasons Wolves moment, pandemonium in the stands. Don’t need to bang on about it too much - awful performance but understandable after a tough run of games in a short period of time, the weeks rest is much needed. The back 5 have served us well but I hope Lamps changes to a back 4 next week and we get after Preston from minute 1.

Also lowest pass accuracy of the three was those two. That defence conceded 22 shots on goal and 53(!!) touches inside out box. Kitching won 2 duels all game Thomas 3. For comparison Dasilva won 6 and Latubeaudiere 4.

How you can come out of that praising the defence I’ve no idea.
So, you got me on the DaSilva and Latibaudiere stats. Wasn’t expecting that.

Ngl, I and few mates of mine were pally pally with the Wednesday-ite’s- in the Hillsborough social club and they weren’t bad lads despite being ‘round the edges’ by our definitions!

My personal experience with Sheffield W fans was that they were decent, honest working men!

This is exactly how they were 5/10 years ago. They've definitely attracted more 16 year old hard men these days. Must be a mixture of slight success and sourness of ownership.

Edit - sounds familiar

A wins a win. Playing well is just the cherry on top. Onto our nemesis in Preston. Sky sports blurring Prestons Osmajic's mouth when showing the alleged racist incident. No smoke without fire. He's already been banned for biting this season.

Surely club management/owners wouldn't want a player like that at the club. Biting and racism in the same season is appalling. Just needs to spit at someone before the end of the season to complete the dickhead hat trick.
Think he picked on the wrong person in the wrong language too
Hilarious if so

I’m hoping that the last two wins show that maybe Lady Luck is smiling on us at the moment.

I really hope so. With such a tight race for the final play-off spots, a little luck can go a long way.

nothing wrong with riding your luck occasionally. we've certainly had spells where we haven't had any at all.
that said, i think it was hard work at the end that got us the winner yesterday, and on tuesday.
if we had any luck yesterday is was their poor finishing.

lots of other results have gone our way recently as well, which have certainly helped.

This:

off Facebook.

I am a life long Sheffield Wednesday fan and all I can say is even tho I’m fed up of playing these lot, their fans are second to none, loudest away fans down here every time they’ve come for donkeys years, if we don’t I hope they go up

Not sure if anyone's mentioned it yet, apologies if they have, but I was thinking this morning about all the Wednesday fans having a bitch and moan about us not kicking the ball out when everyone was clapping for Harvey Willgoose. I've seen online that the lad was a massive Sheffield United fan so if there is a heaven up there I can imagine him looking down and laughing at Wednesday conceding when all their fans were clapping for him :ROFLMAO:

A highlight for me yesterday was when the 4th official announced the stoppage time, everyone in the away end belted out a rendition of PUSB & Sky blue army after being relatively quiet for the past 10 minutes whilst under the cosh, shows we were backing the lads to get a winner instead of taking the draw

I am a down the line fan of back 5 particularly as long as our current defenders are such that we need more of them to compensate. It got us promoted from League 1 after it was in effect forced on a reluctant Robins. It did well for us in the run to the play offs and now on a run of 6 league wins in seven. I can't understand the clamor for change. A back 5 is the most unloved success story

I can see a case for dispensing with it if we move to having four quality wide players on full fitness competing for two places in a 4-3-3 (EMC, Wright, Pato & Tats). But with our shitty defence endlessly being baled out by Oliver Dovin it takes a brave man to only have four at the back except against weaker teams at home.

I thought the formation we ended with yesterday was interesting as it gave us the best of both worlds. I could definitely see Rudoni doing a job on the RW cutting in with MVE on the outside

The Clapping starts, Wednesday were on the attack. Bannan running to try latch onto an over the top ball, no intention of stopping play at that point.

Weird it only crossed his mind to put the ball out when we had it 🤷‍♂️

Think that was funnier than spanking them 5-0... They were the much better side and it was a complete steal on our part but it is Sheffield Wednesday so fuck them

Few decisions could have gone against us on another day, but I think that makes us just about even for the blatant red Shea Charles should have had for crocking Bidwell in the reverse fixture before he scored the winner and the Jamie Allen incident last season(y)

I don’t think they have complained had they scored from that attack.

Every game there’s some sort of applause for someone who’s unfortunately passed away. Expecting to stop the game deliberately and applause for this kind of stuff is a bit silly.

they dominated the game but we could have scored 4. We scored 3!

The only concern about Sheaf and Wright is the amount of time it’s going to take them to get match fit - not so many games left 😦

Apparently sheff weds wanted the same stopped for the minutes applause.

How long has that been a thing?

I've never known that be a thing, but coincidentally it did happen at a game in the PL (I think) this weekend. Saw it on highlights, might have been in the EFL, come to thinkabout it. First time I've ever known it.
