Apparently he hasnโ€™t been dropped because heโ€™s been playing poor.

Squad rotation for player that aren't 100% match fit maybe?

There's every possibility

Much prefer him in that position where making a mistake is less likely to cause issues. He can run at them and isn't scared to have a shot.

I rate him but not as a holding midfielder. Heโ€™s playing in attacking midfield today so I think heโ€™ll do well.

I didn't make a single comment on Allen or his merits to be in the side or not. My post was about you.

You also said Kelly would
Yes I think most would agree also he would walk back in were a different side with him in it but robins sees the players all week in training and is clearly happy from what heโ€™s seen last week and this week,Allen has been struggling to impose himself i had a feeling he would be dropped tonight,Shipley deserves a chance there.

I wanted Shipley to play tonight, but he was awful in that first half. The worst part is he didn't seem to be putting 100% in, not pressing as much as O'Hare and Godden.

Hopefully he steps up a bit in the second half

Heโ€™s diabolical. If he wasnโ€™t from Cov he wouldโ€™ve been released years ago

Shipley needs time to see if heโ€™ll adapt at this level. Heโ€™s started 3 of his 4 seasons as a pro behind the curve and developed his strengths to be an effective player in L2 and L1. What he hasnโ€™t done is develop his weaknesses, tackling, speed and consistent passing accuracy, so Champ maybe a division too high for him. That said, I found it a very odd decision to finally start him in his best position against Bournemouth. They are so quick and their tempo is awesome. He was always on for a hiding to nothing.

Allen has been at the level good engine on him but for me struggles to impose as weโ€™re seeing again now
