Because Michael said it wasn't.
Why can you not think that they are there to protest G?

Sorry, I cannot see how you can purely judge it on a level as simple as whether you enjoy it or not; without factoring in the morality or politics. Impossible
Until you can prove to me 100% that by going in it is hurting the club I think it is up to people if they want to without all the preaching.
Or they could wear blindfolds.
That might get the attention of the media. And it would actually be some kind of protest rather than a cheapskate's day out.
Get your blindfolds out lads, it's for the greater cause.
It's simple. If zero fans turned up; the farce would have to cease. If 10K go, Fisher will see this as vindication to do exactly as he pleases.
Every person who attends shifts the dynamic from the former to the latter

And if no fans went the farce would cease probably, the club....
Still no proof to say that by not going it will bring us back to coventry is there?
Without a clear, clear message, this disgusting downward spiral will continue.
I remember you stating on here that we'd be at the Ricoh this season; and the ground search was a red herring. Well, we're not.
Without a clear, clear message, this disgusting downward spiral will continue. Those who attend with weak excuses or disclaimers are exactly what Fisher wants. Join them if you wish; and feel the weight of Fisher's sanctimonious smile bearing down upon your company
And the clear message is one of apathy, at the moment.

Did he- Michael said he goes not to protest but to watch the football.... stated it verbatim- clear?
Only because the dominant discourse says so, and it's too inflexible to present it in any other way.
I do think it is one massive game of poker still... I also remember you stating thorn was good do people can have different opinions
Why would I have to feel the weight of his smile?
Nobody is attending with weak excuses or disclaimers, they just want to go.
I disagree. Most fans have sent out a clear message by withholding their patronage. Don't forget; this isn't just a game, it's a social event, deep seated in the psyche of successive generations of ardent fan. Not going is damn hurting.
Just do what you feel best and respect others. We both could be right.

Northern Wis dumb
Any other set of supporters in our position would be split ...
None of this is black & white..you seem to suggest otherwise .
One last word. If the protesters were so adamant then why are they not on the Hill in their thousands or better still, outside the Ricoh Arena in their thousands on match days demonstrating to ACL and SISU what they are all missing? Too many are passive in the protest because a lot can't afford time and money to go to Sixfield's no doubt which I fully sympathise with, and others simply say NOPM but stay at home or go shopping with the wife while waiting for the inevitable return.

Ah the cheap insult, cunningly proving my point.
it appears you like your binary opposites and compartmentalising.
LOL ..that is funny.
But being serious . How do you propose to not appear apathetic..I can tell you hand on heart I still care so very much about CCFC.
I was asking a question not making a statement- have asked Michael to clarify. Not true. Read what he actually said again.
Bookings being taken for Sky Blue bus to Jimmy's Hill this Sunday.
This Sunday v Gillingham is not about protest just having an afternoon out and watching (two thirds!) of the game plus of course the summit meeting to plan for sheff u. My guess is numbers will be lower than last week for Colchester but I do need to cover the cost of the bus so anyone up for it - £5 adults, under 18s Free, 1pm departure - please email keepcovincov@gmail. And don't worry about the weather cos if it rains you can sit on the top deck of the bus and watch the game from there!

I will watch it on Sky (Although Stuart Linell says I shouldn't)
I don't live in Coventry .. just like the team
But if we all watch it on Sky instead nobody will ever know we care, because there'll be nobody to say we do.
I can't go..my relatives are coming round that afternoon.
