Chinese or Korean students would definitely not be interested in a Japanese player.
But he would be a great signing. Any Japanese overseas players generate huge interest in Japan as they are all seen as potentials for the national team. If he makes an impact, we could expect Japanese TV crews at the CBS on a regular basis.
Any new Japanese supporters would be fanatical.
No red cards either.
An Indian lad who was on exchange at my uni last year took a real soft spot to us so I got him last seasons home shirt as a farewell present at the end of the yearI actually managed to convert 5 of my coworkers in Tokyo across to following us.
I was working out there this year and football was our common ground. I walk into work most Mondays to an MS teams chat discussing the coventry result.
The Japanese team they all followed is a horror show though, but I did wear my Omiya Ardija scarf to Wembley for a picture.
I ended up sending them all Coventry scarves and mugs for the office, doing my bit for the clubs overseas revenue streams.
Looks like he has played mostly on the flanks, but plenty of games at AM too.
With O'Hare being out for a while yet (and not knowing how well he will return) I guess it makes sense to sign another AM.
There is a Kokoro opening in the city centre. They must have known he was signing.Does this mean we will have a sushi food outlet on the concourse

Wonder if he still supports us
They’re going to have to build a new wing at the WalsgraveDoes this mean we will have a sushi food outlet on the concourse
Sakamoto getting a hand from Fadz next season...
It's the model we need to follow. Have to sell big players really. But if we get good prices and replace well it sets up well Vs more poorly run clubs
Signing Bright from India is a close as we’ve got I think. What a waste.First far Eastern player I can remember?

Hello Moto.
Japanese players tend to be versatile as they are taught that at a young age, and looking at his stats he seems to have played on both flanks, AM and SS.Pros: From the YT overview, he plays on the right but has no problem coming inside. Primarily left footed (long distance shots) but can easily strike them with his left.
Cons: Didn't see him score any with his head. If he's that fussy about ruining his hair, no thanks. Would create a terrible atmosphere in our changing room of ever increasing baldness
At Cov Uni it is massively mainland China (1000+ each year) followed by Hong Kong and South Korea (100+ each year) and then as you say much smaller numbers from Japan and places like Taiwan.Think there's a fair number of Koreans as well but my guess would be Japanese numbers are fairly small compared to those two.
If we could get everyone in Japan to call it a batch, that would be epicCan just picture McFadzean and Bidwell advertising shampoo on billboards round Tokyo after our new signing comes in and hits the ground running and CCFC becomes the latest craze in Japan
I honestly don't think they would be interested. Quite a lot of animosity towards Japan in both Korea and especially China.Yes they would be. Same as white British blokes would be absolutely buzzing and all over someone from Sweden or the Netherlands.
And the Indian bloke we were linked with all the time a few years back would increase our British Asian attendance.
Honest guv

One day you can be playing at a huge stadium in Tokyo next you can play infront of like 4k max fans in the middle of rural Japan
