Robins has had a big fall out with Sakamoto's translator apparently.

Can we at least agree the Sakamoto song is a total bust? By the time you’ve figured out what’s being sung, the game has moved on about three or four phases and Singers Corner is still only halfway through the second verse
Da da da da da da da da a da da da I don't think so

Second verse. Same as the first

I like the look of him and hope he keeps getting better but his final pass whether it’s wide or central is poor and is yet to score. To be fair, he hasn’t had loads of game time so he needs time.

Out of all the signings he’s been the best one for £1.2m. Against West Brom a lot of opposition journalists were singing his praises as a ‘nuisance’ ‘pulling the strings around the box’ etc….

He’s getting better in each game and all credit to him adapting and settling in. For someone who’s first language isn’t English it’s great to see. Always puts a shift in.

First name on the team sheet.

Goals are one thing you’re almost guaranteed not to get with him and it shouldn’t be shock to anybody at the club, he’s never scored outside of Japan (56 games)

Now he's been played more centrally he's got the potential to get on the score-sheet for us. He's had 2 goal bound efforts blocked and a header he should've done better with in the last few games.

I think he'll score goals if he establishes a position in the side in a forward position. He has largely played as wing back in Belgium. He has come close to scoring a number of times and was very unlucky on Monday not to score.

Tats and COH at the top of the box has to be what we're working towards. My only worry is that both seem better on the counter than in a possession side trying to unlock a defence.

He's first touch is very good. On the eye, he looks a very good talent. I think communication and possibly tactically he's struggled.

I know he's getting English lessons, but I wonder what is being done in the changing room. Are any translations going on?

He had a spell when he was not going forwards and taking people on like he did pre season. He seems to be back to running at people and I've not seen anyone who can live with him lately.

I cannot overstate how serious I am about this Sakamoto song situation - we’ve got a legit cult hero on our hands here and we’re letting some YouTube wanker deprive him of an actually good chant.
Very true.

If we loose O'Hare I think/hope he could fill that position?
I was watching one of the preseason games and the opposition commentators described him as David Silva like which I can really see...🤞🏻🤞🏻🤞🏻🤞🏻🤞🏻🤞🏻

I really don’t know how many more games it’s going to take before our fans accept this guy is a winger. Not a wing back. Not a number 10. Just a decent, fun winger.

Thank you for your input...

Like me what do you base your opinion on?

Footballers these days can do more than one thing so just let's see... I'm an optimist, what a great number 10 he'd be.

If we stick with this 4-3-3 formation, I’d like us to add some fun wingers to the team. In the mean time, looking ward to seeing where COH fits in: does he fit in that 3 man midfield (where he started on loan for us) or does he start out wide?

He’s been mostly ineffective if not a liability playing either centrally or at wing back. His strengths seem to be primarily running at defenders - he has the work ethic to look passable at any position on the pitch but he’s clearly an attacking player who wants to sit out wide and bother the full back without having to worry about too many other defensive duties.

He came with a perfectly good song as well!

Thibk that’s harsh. He tracked back better than Weight today.

He is a crowd pleaser and any fan will know they are watching a good technician and a wholehearted player. The goal is a big bonus, but the improvement he is showing is great for the club. Get him and Callum up to speed together could be a fun watch.

Definitely looks a bit stronger and in my opinion will prove to be a good signing.
