One goal in 52 games. He must be one hell of a defender because he sure adds nothing in attack.

Turner next
Then Leon Best
Then finally Gunnerson and Fox at Xmas when they have fallen out of favour and we need a boost

Good signing. He has the potential to be better than Fleck in my opinion, provided he is given games in central midfield. Last two games he played for us the end of last season he was excellent and added a bit of needle/hassling and more energy to his game. I would like to see Gadzhev pushed into a more advanced role and have Gael as the 'oil' as TM calls it....
I think he will prove the doubters wrong. His quality far exceeds this division

If you don't rate this player you will never see him in any other light, if he has a good game its luck, if he is not on form its because he is shit!!!!!!!!!!!. I can tell you now, he is far from shit and many people within the game thought he was going to have a very good career. Nice lad, humble and very driven to make the grade, i would say his career has not worked out as most expected and he has fallen to a standard most would not have him at. He now will have to show desire and effort to get his career back on track. If you give the lad a go with an open mind and get off his back before he kicks the ball it may help. He may do well, but let the lad breath and express himself and you may find the lad that Newcastle paid a very nice fee for during the season.

Sadly he is very much like the club he just signed for, no direction, mis managed, misguided, wasted potential with signs of a lack of ambition. If the money is right adds a little and takes away nothing from the squad, lets see how it works out.

Those players were decent for us. Bigi wasn't.

He did well then to have played shit and secured a transfer to the premier league.

I appreciate that move didn't work out. However you don't get the transfer in the first place by playing badly for Coventry city.

Just the way to lift the fans after a 6-1 defeat, get Bigi back!!

Saw this coming a mile off... actually, could benefit us if he plays defensive mid & Gadshev plays further forward. Gadshev seems to be happier further up the pitch (plus he's less likely to give penalties away then...)

Still hope we get a specialist Right Wing Back in - he & Andy Rose are midfielders, not bloody full backs.

he did have the odd decent moment, but I agree this is an underwhelming signing. At the end of last season, we agreed that the only reason for keeping Bigi on (or Conor Thomas for that matter) was because of a lack of anyone better to replace them. Now, Mowbray proved that theory but not really making a move for Bigi at all between early May and now.....all of a sudden, TM has realised he's been caught napping in the transfer market. He "bided him time" whilst the other clubs went and signed the best talent; now the cupboard is painfully bare, and we've had to make do with the "best" available and unfortunately he sees Bigi as that. From a squad continuity point of view it's no bad thing, but I was hoping for a new midfielder with a lot more experience and lot more bite than him. Good look to him, and I hope he proves me wrong, but I am not expecting great things (I'm expecting a re-run of Southend away last season when he was pony).

I'll be honest, after seeing him against Gillingham last season, I never wanted to see him in a city shirt again. I thought if I put a shirt on at the same time, no one in the crowd would think I was the worse player on the pitch because he was so bad.

In fairness though, he improved through the rest of the season, and put in some good performances, and it isn't like you can't fault his love for the club one bit either. He did have some good games.

I'm frustrated, because I feel our squad isn't anywhere near good enough. However, we shouldn't take it out on Bigi. We should all give him a fresh chance to prove himself and show that potentially he previously earnt.

If there was ever a time to stand up and be counted, now is the time.

Come on Bigi, time to be a man my friend.

Hmm a tricky one this with our squad as it is not a bad signing imo Mccann and him as holding midfielders if we persist with our current ludicrous formation may just work!

That comeback appearance will go down as the worst I have ever seen a so called professional footballer play.
It was simply horrendous, Bigi did nothing except f*** u* everything he was involved in.
Fifty years and this was the worst I have seen a skyblue shirt play

Ok fair enough, but he did improve as the season went on.
Did you watch him after that first game?

Funny how some won't give a homegrown lad like Bigi a chance , he obviously showed a lot of potential as a kid and earned himself a move to the Premiership off the back of it .Circumstance and injuries meant it hasn't turned out like he wanted it too but he has returned to his roots to try and rebuild a career and fair play to him for that

Yet some on here would rather the headless chicken and woefully talented " individual " that is Jim O Brien .....clueless

Bigi will come good, no doubt.
He'll need games to come good though.

I think Bigi is a great signing, think it would have been done earlier but im guessing how Newcastle released him was the main issue, now he's our player again we grow stronger as a squad! Bigis last few games for the club on loan last season were good, and he was excellent against Oldham on the last day!
