I can't think of a major derby in the UK that has the levels of segregation we'll have for fixtures with no history of bother.
Itsabsolytely ridiculous.
It seems like the more and more safety measures they put in like closing blocks, netting and the fence the worse the problems get.
As if it's giving those wanting to act hard even more confidence to do so because they're nice and safe behind all those protective measures. Put the people they're trying to antagonise right next to them and most wouldn't say a word.
But you'd have to be a brave person to suggest less measures given the problems. And there'd still be a handful of coked up idiots stupid enough to carry on.
maybe they need to be lenient up until the point where someone causes trouble and absolutely throw the book at each and every one of them - fines, criminal conviction, jail and a lifetime ban. No exceptions.
this is something the supporters group, or whatever its called now, could do as I suspect it would need to come via the club as they will have people attending the SAG meetings.I wonder if we as fans could petition the council on it? Didn’t go today but I’ve noticed a few old heads coming into blocks 2 and 3 in other games. Don’t have a problem with it really.They have been told they are on final warning. Old legion heads I believe. Too old for the naughty corner now.
