It's with sadness that I have to agree. I always think that supporters need to give a manager a chance but after having witnessed the last 2 games and given Slade time to implement his 'style' of play.
He really will drag us down, players are playing scared. We are playing dark ages football and he show nothing to suggest it'll get any better.
Only have to look at when he uses his substitutes -doesn't use them to change the game-only as emergency. No tactical nous at all.

Don't be stupid, he's inherited basically a terrible squad in all departments, I do think he should have got strikers (plural) in as a priority by now and it is now desperate we do so this week.

Usually I don't agree with manager out type post but oh my God the standard and type of play is terrible. Long ball, no possession, kick and rush. No thanks Slade. Then we finish the last 10 mins of the game with 3 midges up front hoofing the ball up.

More to the point how long before people stop deluding themselves into thinking anyone could manage this club properly under these owners?
No manager in the world can turn this club around, it's rotten. Mowbray getting us so far at the start of last year was a fucking miracle. We are back to where were pretty much been every season for ten years: struggling down the bottom of whatever division we happen to be in.

Peter Bodak pulled no punches on CWR saying the players played non league football and were absolutely terrible other than Burge and not one would have got into the reserve team when he was here. He clearly blames the players. A damning statement.

1. The team hasn't played attractive football since Armstrong and Murphy started to misfire after last December. We've always played one up front and played high balls over the defence
2. Slade inferred a team that had lost around 6 games on the run
3. The players he has bought in look far better than the players they have replaced.
The one issue that will cost is is goals. Teams in this league don't play attractive passing football. It's a physical league - look at Burton last season,
Margins are very thin. We could easily be 5 points better off. Like it or not fleetwod are a better side.
We competed well and there was little difference over 90 minutes.
It took Adams I think 6 games to get his first win - the key will be who he can get in as a striker.
But let's not kid ourselves he's a long ball merchant and we can play a premier league football style with the players we have.

We can't play play his long ball game with the players he has partly because players like burge and Turnbull can't even kick it long, he has had time to produce a big lump upfront and he has spent time brining in a few defenders and a midfielder who has added nothing to the team in fact he is worse than a Bigi.

I'll give the bloke a bit longer TBH. Not easy to drag a team that has lost 8 on the bounce (including a few heavy defeats) into winning. At some point aside the SISU cloud we must realise that players must take some blame. Do we have players who will fight tooth and nail to stay up or better than that in this league? I don't believe we do, the players have the same mentality as some fans in that they believe we are entitled to be in this league or higher.

The midfielder has added a lot to the team - he covers off the ball and tackles well -- also hit the post with a header
Do you think there was a lot between the teams really? How many saves did Burge have to make?

He's been shocking the last two games and should've buried today's header-easier to score than hit the post!! He's a loan who is loads worse than our own players!

We didn't-we literally hung on.
It wasn't end to end football-it was one way traffic.
We struggled to put two passes together & had a handful of shots on target the whole game.
