I suppose the only concern there with that Hull draw, is, we could be outside the playoff places tomorrow and if we drew Monday, we would then still be outside.
Which then means there would be more pressure on us for the WBA game.
Results going our way tomorrow would be so incredibly helpful right now.

71 points should be enough. Bristol are currently outperforming the data metrics so if things even out, they’ll drop points. It’s their home form that’s really impressive so hopefully Sunderland give them a kicking on Good Friday.
4 points from Hull and WBA works for us either way. We’ve only got 4 days recovery too which isn’t ideal. If we get 6 points, it wouldn’t quite be ‘job done’ but you’d think there would be daylight between ourselves and the chasing pack.
WBA need to beat Watford to stand any chance of leapfrogging frogging us on Good Friday. A draw would suit us perfectly in that game.
Boro away at Millwall is a tough game and both teams need a win. Boro need to get in the playoffs and Millwall need the points to stand a fighting chance of playoffs.
It would be unlucky if Bristol, Boro and WBA all get maximum points this weekend. We’ll remain in the top 6 going into Monday.

It's easy to look at the table now and think, so and so could get to this many points because they have 5 games remaining. But looking at it objectively, outside the top 6 currently Boro would need to win 3 draw 1 to get to 70, West Brom and Milwall would need to win 4 draw 1 to get to 70, Watford pretty much need full sweep. Those are difficult sets of results to achieve at this point of the season. A huge win on Monday, and it's 5 points from 4 for the 70 mark.

Yup and we have to remember that Luton were in the Premier League last year, so they do have good players.
No complacency and be right on our game from here on in, with gut-busting efforts in every encounter.
Just show that we need it more than them

I think we will see a couple of sides put out we don't expect in the next 5 games.
Our remaining away games are against 19th, 23rd and 24th. I would guess at least 2 of them will be against sides playing with all their players behind the ball.and hitting us on the counter. Hopefully they will be like the second half against Portsmouth and bot pose too much of a threat.

The idea that Plymouth, Luton and Hull will turn into prime Real Madrid is a bit silly.
3 teams need to get relegated and it’s usually the teams that aren’t good enough. All 3 of those teams have pretty bad home records and whilst Luton are getting positive results, they’ve been draws and have only beaten teams around them.
Derby bit us in the backside and that’s because they have a good team for a promoted side and have hired a solid manager in Eustace. They are the form team in and around that area of the pitch.
When we beat Oxford, they were in the relegation battle (still are somewhat) and we won, their home record was a lot stronger than the teams we play - in fact it was better than Sheff U’s at the time, albeit over a shorter period (last 8 home games).

As well as a stuttering WBA and a game v Boro on the final day.
It’s well within our control and if we don’t make it, the season can be considered a failure. Not a failure in Lampard’s part personally because what he’s inherited, just as a whole.
Which, to be fair, many of us considered the season over by November.

Who have also recently beat Blackburn and Preston and took a point from top of the league. We were awful v Derby, but they've really pulled a survival chance out the bag. On paper, it wasn't a great game to lose (especially with the 3 games that followed) but in reality, it hasn't had that much of an impact on our season. Especially with clubs around us dropping clangers left right and centre

Obviously the Collins factor could play a part if he has a lot to do.
I think they'll win at home to Watford today.
Them having to win games isn't necessarily a bad thing. Unlike Pompey who were happy to sit deep and defend for their lives and making it hard to break down. If Plymouth or Luton "must win" they've got to put bodies forward, leaving space at the back for a high press. Burnley are happy to take a 0-0, therefore concede few goals. A "must win" team can't sit and hope for a 0-0.
It'll be no good for our blood pressure, but it should result in goals scored

I don’t but this narrative that it’s not desirable to be playing struggling teams at this time of the season. They are struggling for a reason and their nerves will be as bad as ours. Go with confidence.

No-one has mentioned turning into Real Madrid.
Teams at the bottom do often scrap for their lives though and win games through sheer endeavour and putting their bodies on the line and blocking everything etc. It happens year upon year. Always has done. Wins are somehow pulled out of the bag.
I know you said "stuttering" WBA.
Hopefully it's still the case today. Would make life a lot more easy next Friday, for sure.

Well we can about the start of season. We are relying on auto promotion form to make playoffs. Not ideal and not fair on lampard

That's true but I'm sorry we've abandoned a productive period and gone with a different style, I'd at least expect to see some pragmatism in away game's,it won't matter soon as the injuries are coming thick and fast.

Like if a marathon runner had to walk first quarter and then sprint to catch up they may be too tired to keep pace with front runners just as they reach finish line kinda thing
I think we will make playoffs but if we don't I'm not gonna be putting it on lampard. Just a shite start that ultimately may cost us.
But hopefully it will be a mute point!
