With this all going on, Merseyside police post this this afternoon, unbelievable
They have to be at pride events because unfortunately there are a lot of violent homophobes about and it’s a high risk event.
Unfortunately there isn’t much they can do about a lone nutter other than arrive on scene asap.

My political stance I'd that we shouldn't have cut 20k officers and 20k support staff and we should have more police on the beat but I doubt that would have stopped it either.

Mental health services in this country have been gutted in the last 14 years, while it may not have prevented this incident there are many people not getting the help they need.

I think (without checking) it needs to have been carried out with political aims. But everyone would agree it’s a terrifying event for all but the depraved shit carrying it out and I’d gladly see the legal definition extended if it meant this type of act yielded whole life or enhanced tariffs.

too many different ideology's many dont want to integrate. many do and they no one has a problem with that but more too often now issues in the country are caused by various groups.

cops getting their face smashed in at Manchester Airport.
soldier getting stabbed.
Leeds riots and now Children getting stabbed and killed in Southport.
Not to mention the daily stabbings in London.
