The Police I was referring to, they were seeping information when their normal rhetoric is not to offer anything until all the facts were known, so my question is not only why, but presumably they already knew more than they were revealing (which I accept isnt uncommon), but other than quelling public opinion, to what end and who was enabling the information? With something so sensitive, I'd assume they probably do have to run things past government officials before releasing any statement.The police?

Everything points to the facts being this kid was British born and fucked up and obsessed with violence (which there’s no intervention for) yet half this thread are coming away with the idea he was an immigrant Muslim terrorist who was being protected by the deep state which consists of Kier Starmer and the Daily Mail.

There were ongoing riots Rob. That was the difference. What was dripping fed was facts that disproved the cause of those riots.

Locals already knew who he was and were posting about him and things were getting deleted. People were getting the "He was a choir boy" thing thrown at them when people who knew him were saying he was calling for Genocides at school and was kicked out for bringing a knife into school and going back to attack somebody with a hockey stick. At this point, the police would have known full well he was producing ricin in his house ffs. He was known to police and they would have known all of this within minutes of the attack.
I get it, did they want to avoid community tensions? If anything they stirred them up much more.
