Southport Stabbing (20 Viewers)

You want age checks online right? Ones that don’t currently exist. If you’re not arguing for that then I’m not sure what the last few posts have been about
As I've said several times, I want the current rules to be enforced, and for there to be consequences for those who fail to do so:

At present, customers ordering knives on Amazon, for example, are asked to enter their date of birth and told: "Proof of age and a signature will be required on delivery."

A spokesperson for Amazon said: "We use trusted ID verification services to check name, date of birth and address details whenever an order is placed for these bladed items.

"We have an age verification on delivery process that requires drivers to verify the recipient's age through an app on their devices before handing over a parcel containing an age-restricted item."

"Rudakubana has just started shouting again.

"I need to be seen by a paramedic - I feel ill," he shouts to the court.

The judge has him removed again, saying the court is aware Rudakubana has been seen by two teams of paramedics who deem that he is fit to attend.

Why the fuck is it allowed? They wont give him full life because of his age and what are the chances he will be protected inside for the rest of his days anyway?

I've just read through the court notes, and the detailed witness accounts of what happened that day.

It's genuinely one of the most disgusting things I have ever read. Couldn't even imagine what it would be like to be in that court today, let alone in the room on the day that this happened. He stabbed multiple children in some cases at least 100 times, and many of the attacks were in the backs of them as they were running for their lives. A few hid in the toilets until the police came and saved them.

I'm not sure how this guy can be allowed to keep breathing. What he has done is pure evil, and he seems proud of it.

In the days that followed he explained that he hated someone at school who bullied him. He felt angry and wanted to kill them, Heer continues to tell the court.

A referral was made to the police, who visited the defendant. He confirmed that he had taken a knife to school and added that he thought he would use it if he became angry.

The school was also informed. By this time, the defendant had been temporarily excluded - this was made a permanent exclusion when he admitted taking a knife to school on about 10 previous occasions.

Red flags not enough now? Cunts as well.

On 11 December that same year, the defendant booked a taxi to take him to Range High School, he was carrying a hockey stick and attacked another pupil. When the police arrived, a knife was found in his backpack.

He was subsequently charged with, and pleaded guilty to, assault occasioning actual bodily harm, possession of an offensive weapon and possession of a bladed article.

Wait, he had actually been convicted previously too?

The court turns now to the week before the attack on 29 July last year.

Heer, for the prosecution, describes how a few days after Axel Rudakubana purchased knives on 22 July 2024, he booked a taxi in the name "Simon" to take him to The Range High School.

On this occasion, Heer continues, it seems that he was spotted by his father. As the car was about to set off, the defendant’s father ran out of the house and pleaded with the driver not to take him.

The defendant got out of the car after an argument.

Heer says: "It is unlikely to be a coincidence - the prosecution say - that this was the last day of term, with students due to leave the school premises at 12:30 for the summer. The court may infer that this was an earlier attempt to commit offences similar to those he was to carry out at The Hart Space a week later."

Keep hearing about his old man, where is he in all of this? His dad pleaded with the Taxi driver not to take him so he knew. Did his dad report It?

Probably be some kind of Islamist hero inside.

This country is soft as shit.

Seems like he can’t even count on the radical Islamists for support once he’s inside:

Heer says that there were numerous images on Rudakubana's tablet devices relating to different wars and international conflicts, including in Gaza, Ukraine, Sudan, Korea, Iraq and the Balkans.

This was in addition to violent images, including those of dead bodies, victims of torture, beheadings, cartoons depicting killing, violence and rape, or which insulted or mocked different religions - including Islam, Judaism and Christianity

I have no idea how the parents can stand there, gather their thoughts and speak after hearing what he did to their young children.

I'd have been done for contempt by now.

Just read more of the nonsense he was spouting. What an absolute fanny. Says nothing but his name and guilty until sentencing then keep whining he’s ill. Fuck off mate. He’s been seen by a paramedic. Stick a video link to a cell for him and crack on. Has he even been sentenced today?

How would that work? Would you be happy going to prison for stuff your kid did?

His son had convictions for attacks and knives at school and he pleaded with a taxi driver a week before to not take him to his old school (while he happened to be tooled up). He then goes on a rampage the next week.

Did his dad report it to anybody? What did his dad know about what he was planning? (He knew enough to stop a taxi). What did the parents to try and fix him?

If he isn't old enough to get big boy sentences then his parents need to be questioned too.

Let's say my daughter had attacked somebody at school, kept having the police round because she had knives, openly said she wanted to kill people with knives. I'd do absolutely everything to help her mental state and obviously prevent any risk to herself and the public. If I had to remortgage and get her privately sectioned then so be it.

Would be interesting to hear what his parents did and what will happen to them? It's not like there were no warning signs and it just happened.

I doubt his Dad ever thought he’d do this and was just a troubled teen. A parents job is to back their kids I’m really not sure about convicting them for doing it.

What do you mean? He already had carried out attacks, the police were constantly at his door, he kept taking knives into school and public places. His dad had to stop a taxi the week before when he was going to carry out an attack on his old school?

Doesn't sound like his parents have done a very good job of "backing" him, have they?

It wasn't like the A star pupil just suddenly flipped one day out of the blue. The "we thought it was just Axel going through a phase" doesn't stand up.

So you only love your kid if they’re an A star pupil? Come on man. If he stopped the taxi it sounds like he was doing stuff. It just feels like a bad precedent to set to me. Parents can’t control a 17 year old fully and will always be the last to think the worst of their kid, that’s just natural.

What are you on about? I haven't said about only loving a kid if they are an A star pupil, I said it's not like he was an A star pupil where it came from absolutely nowhere.

Yeah, he stopped the taxi, then what? Did he report it? Was he straight on the phone to CAHMS demanding help? Was he trying to get him sectioned because he had just stopped him from a rampage at school?

If the parents turned a blind eye because they didn't want "to think the worst" of their kid, they are just as culpable and should be punished too. It's not like the little c**t wasn't a walking red flag.

It's OK blaming the authorities and saying "budget cuts, not enough resources, he slipped through". What were the parents doing in all of this?

Are they required to make statements in court? Are they encouraged to do it, do they volunteer? The poise and courage required is just remarkable.

I'm not sure, although don't they usually do an "impact statement" type thing before sentencing where the judge needs to hear it to decide on a sentence?

Have just seen one of the girls had 122 injuries.

Why can't we just kill this c**t now? Whack a bullet in his head while he's sat there. Job done.

In scenarios where it is undeniable, 100% that they've done it, I completely agree.

Especially as the little c**t is playing up to the "insane" act in court and said he's glad about what happened etc.

On the other hand though, I hope he'll be systematically tortured inside.

I'm not normally easily shocked reading these kind of things, but read the BBC stream and had tears in my eyes.

The survivors and witnesses/responders will be damaged for the rest of their lives.

In mine as well. Certainly changed my views on capital punishment.

Defence lawyer : The defendant does not want to re enter the room and if he is forced he will be disruptive"

What the actual fuck????

I hope this comes across the right way, but reading what happened, it's a miracle only 3 died from this. It's the only silver lining in all this.
