I'd never heard of them, but just played
Luxury (Kraftwerk meets Andy Partridge's
Explode Together dub side-project),
A Map Of You (very ahead of it's time, almost ambient sounding-clear Eno influence),
Sanctuary (more classic pop, but with a foresighted eye on what that would sound like for the next 10 years) and
This World of Water (reminds me of XTC
a lot..it is a bit nuts!). They strike me as a pop band that wasn't popular, like Denim. I have little doubt that they'd have been bigger if they'd been active in the last 5-6 years than they actually were! The bloke out of Metronomy probably loves them.
