I went to Carlisle too. It was in between Christmas and New Year if i remember. 5.30 train from Cov station and didn’t get back to Cov until about Midnight last train from New Street. Long old day but a good one with happy memories. Think we missed a penalty but still won

We know what he means, I think.

For what its worth I think Cov is a millions times better than it used to be. I think the centre looks good nowadays.

Unfair comparison. Bristol is a relatively wealthy and significantly bigger city than Coventry. It too has it's bad parts.

Coventry is far better than many major towns and cities in this country.

Once the City Centre South area is knocked down, Coventry will have one of the highest occupancy rates of shops in the country. There are very few empty units outside the area which is ready for demolition.

If you go anywhere else, nearly half the high street is abandoned and boarded up.

Kids under 16 = £12 must bring the Haribo
Kids under 18 = £15 and no Stone Thailand
Adults = £25 No giving it large
Anyone who lives more than 80 miles away £ 0.00 , now that’s got to be fair 🤔

what has Coventry actually got? Primark and what else? Fosse park is fantastic and even the centre has a John Lewis. Nottingham is vibrant, Exeter and Bath excellent. What would ever encourage you to go into the city centre?

We were tourists in L2, let’s not let nostalgia of a single winning season hide the fact that a few more years down there or even lower and half the people on this forum would be doing something else with their weekend and for a good reason.

Thankfully, Coventry has long moved away from shops.

Couldn't think of anything worse than going to Fosse Park.

The Herbert Art Gallery, the transport museum, the wave, two cathedrals, the guildhall, numerous other beautiful old buildings…….Its far from perfect but not without hope and there are still some nice little quaint old haunts for a pint.

Don't forget War Memorial Park - A fantastic open space.
Endorsed by Arsenal FC in April 1980 when HR finally settled the FA cup Semi final saga v Liverpool.
Liverpool won the toss to have an early afternoon session at the stadium - Arsenal plumped for WMP!

In 1404, Henry V1 Summoned a Parliament in Coventry to raise Money for the War on the French.

The History of Coventry goes back to the 900 AD.

I'm thinking of giving this a miss now.

Chances are Spurs will play a weakened team due to the Arsenal fixture, but will probably still beat us. Midweek, nights drawing in, on TV - £37. Not feeling it.

You'd expect it to still get a decent attendance, though it will go to general sale and I expect a fair few people who've never gone before will buy tickets because it's Spurs. We've not had a big name at the stadium for years and the last time queues for tickets were around the block.

I understand the issue with kids prices, but I think King will be thinking a lot probably wouldn't be going on a school night regardless so making tickets cheaper isn't going to make a huge difference on attendance. I'd be surprised if he wasn't trying to suspend the FZ for this one off match to sell as many tickets as possible at the highest price.

Also surprised he's discounted ST holders - surely the benefit of that is getting priority to book. You get your financial benefits from the. ST in the league games

Tbh, I can see Spurs putting a decent side out

They need a trophy under their belt and soon, Postecoglou seems switched on enough to show us and the fixture a lot of respect instead of thinking it will be a walkover as well

shops are shocking

Have you been to many other cities in England. Let's be honest, they are all the same.

You go to London and Manchester, you'll see 'crack heads'.

It's thriving way more than many cities as I've mentioned before.

Was hoping to move to the safe standing for this one but the club have weirdly said you can only buy your own seat for this game but if you want to move you have to wait till Tuesday when seats are released (even though there are empty seats in blocks 12 & 11) and pay an extra £7

It's a bit of a flaw unfortunately. Should allow ST holders to move at the same price.

Another flaw is having to buy every single ticket individually in each account. It just took me nearly 15 mins logging in and out of my Families 4 accounts and putting the credit card details in every time. It must be possible as we do it for away games its just when they reserve your ST in your account.

You can if you link the accounts. Believe it needs to be on the "manage" option rather than just assign.
