EMC number 10, Rudoni number 5 which I find completely odd and Raphael number 17.

Suggests to me that Raphael is going to be much closer to the first team than people first thought.

17 suggests it's 6 places away from the first 11. 🥴

They often wear any available numbers during pre season, doesn't mean they will be assigned them for when the league starts

Unless Rudoni really is the second coming of Zinedine Zidane...

The numbers mean nothing nowadays. Beckham was 23 at R.Madrid - didn't mean he was nowhere near their starting 11. A lot of numbers nowadays are superstition based or personal preference.

Called me old fashioned but I miss the old days when you knew who was playing where, based on their number, 1-11:

1 GK
2 RB
3 LB
4 CM
5 CB
6 CB
7 RM
8 CM
9 ST
10 ST
11 LM

The good old days.

And on the subject of the good old days, if I were ever head of FIFA (god forbid), I'd ban coloured football boots. No white, no pink (which seems to be popular at this Euros), no blue, no red - only black.

Club posted it on their instagram story.
Right you are! Shocking behaviour from Rudi

Maybe he has been brought in to play deeper than we thought??

Club may think he has attributes to play as a deep lying playmaker? Or maybe he just wants to be Zizou/Jude...

Beckham chose 23 because it was what Michael Jordan wore (and Raul refused to give up no.7).

Definitely agree on the old school numbers, but I automatically still associate number 6 with Stephen Hughes
