Despite 45 years of supporting and many seasons of disappointment I am always optimistic at the start of a new season and I won't apologise to a shouty bloke on the Internet for being so.

Do people genuinely believe that 2000 or 5000 season ticket sales will make any difference to the playing budget.
I believe ( as the Batchelors used to sing ) we will have the smallest budget that we can get away with to field a team that will keep us up.
I do nt think many of the players offered new contracts will accept them and they ll go onto pastures new. If we do well larger crowds , I do nt think the money will go to new players unless they re cheap. The majority of cash will go to keeping us going allegedly. I ve not renewed but do nt blame those who do. I ve always been optimistic for the last 40 years apart from Northampton year. I m despondent for the forthcoming season.

Have you never thought why I argue with a certain few on here? You've been a member for approx 8 months. Some rows are going back 5 years. Maybe I take things to heart with some and see their posts as personal attacks..Some are...some are banter, which at times can be hard to distinguish. Yes I may be at fault some of the time, but NOT all of the time.

Not sure how many weeks there are until the new season, but I think I will be glad when we have some new players, signings, tactics and some actual games to discuss. It is no fault of the fans on here (or not on here) that we are where we are, so need to hyperventilate over the keyboard at each other. Enjoy the summer break and hope that the football gods spread a little love at our football club.
