Wasps talks positive but ........... all about revenue streams on none match days!
"They understand that and understand that the longer-term ambition for the football club is to be in a stadium where we access revenue 365 days a year – not on 23 or 24 days.”
The original 3-5 year schedule is surely reset with the return to the Ricoh?
The urgency has gone as there are no looming penalties from the FL.
You're connected RFC. How are they going to generate this all year round income? From the "plans" they've turned out I dont recall seeing a Hotel, Casino and exhibition hall. Surely this is what gives the Ricoh all year round income?
He's got super secret insider knowledge that he can't share on here. Luckily whatever the outcome he'll still be able to say "Told you so" either way.
Like you I don't know where it will be built ( but have a very good idea where ) and your talking about an acquisition of land between 50 & 70 acres ( with additional adjacent land for further future development ), so consultation and accurate detail are essential. I'd refer you to the recent minutes of the Stadium Form Group.

Not about the pie money, it's about income and revenue streams the other 340 days each and every year.
Regarding the building being started that will happen if and when the land purchase and planning go's-through but before that happens you have to jump through an enormous number of hoops.
Highways, environmental, local roads and transport links etc. etc.. Unfortunately authorities tend to move at a snails pace!

Unless of course you buy a purpose built stadium with revenue streams already attached at a fraction of the cost.
"They understand that and understand that the longer-term ambition for the football club is to be in a stadium where we access revenue 365 days a year – not on 23 or 24 days.” That's what SW is quoted in the CT as saying about talks with Wasps. He hasn't said anything about building a stadium or owning the Ricoh. He's not even saying we need all of the stadium revenue - just access to it. It seems to me that Sisu is beginning to soften it's stance.

Please try and be factual at least!
The capacity will be between 16,000 & 18,000 which is sensible if you look at our average gates over the last 15 to 20 years ( apart of course from our initial season @ the Ricoh ). If success followed as it's module ( similar to Rotherham's New York Stadium. (S60 1AH) also check out www.newyorkstadium.net/
Although he's not directly as quoted as saying it, the CT have written it in the article, therefore he probably did say it, it's just they haven't used it as a direct quote.

If this imaginary stadium is built we will be tenants there as well, and always will be.The owners will be SISU, always will be, and we will never ever own that ground. We will be paying rent,as tenants to SISU, always will be.
CCFC will never own the new pie in the sky stadium, we will be tenants ,and we will be paying for SISU's incompetence forever.
What makes you think that they'd be allowed to do that?

To be fair there was a strong rumour that Joy and Sandra are very close to agreeing on the soft furnishings for the boardroom, that is surely a major andSurely if SISU are in negotiation on a 50/70 acre plot not one jot of information has been leaked? All of those people, authorities involved and all not saying a word - never!
Also I seem to recall all surrounding District Councils were asked via FOI submissions if they were in/had any discussions with SISU and all gave a negative response.
Providing all things are equal and (I know they are not of course) and that the site(s) for the new ground are being subject to the vaeious land purchase and planning procedures for the last 18 months there must be dozens of people working on this project SO WHY HAS THERE NOT BEEN A SINGLE LEAK OF THE PROGRESS TO DATE ???.
The answer is obvious - there is no new ground and never has been and never will be. All the key procedural parameters associated with this sort of venture are now quite rapidly being eaten away by the passage of time eg: the 2+2 year window is now 1.5+2 with nothing evident to show from the last 18 months.
So Mr Fisher before we hit the 1+2 please show us some level of intent at least we deserve that.

Finding out how Wasps are getting their financial clout would answer a lot of questions, 13million debt and been losing 3 million a year for the last 3 years they then get enough financial clout to take the RICOH on mmmmmmmmmmmmmmm!Always assuming Wasps have the financial clout and funding to make their move a successful one?
Come up with a bid to wasps for half the revenue.
If CCFC is successful and commuted long term to the Ricoh. That automatically increases the value of ACL.
Ask Mr Richardson if he is interested in selling half the rights to the revenue for a fair price, in exchange for a long term commitment to Ricoh. It will still be cheaper than a new stadium and even half the Ricoh revenue would probably be more than a new development.
Unless the new development will have a hotel, conference facilities and a casino?
How do ACL get revenue from those - I thought De Vere owned the hotel and a separate company owned the casino?
The burning question for everyone, is where is this magical piece of land close to Coventry?
So what is your guess, as you say you have no inside knowledge, we would all be interested to hear that.
Certainly would.
In all seriousness, sell me the sodding idea, help me get onboard by showing me some kind of faith it could actually work.
Otherwise, based on what we have... why would I be anything other than cynical and disbelieving?!? And that's a surefire way to antagonise and alienate your consumer base...
Help us believe!
“If you tell a big enough lie and tell it frequently enough, it will be believed.” ― Adolf Hitler.
Not comparing SISU to these but it is what it feels like.
