You're connected RFC. How are they going to generate this all year round income? From the "plans" they've turned out I dont recall seeing a Hotel, Casino and exhibition hall. Surely this is what gives the Ricoh all year round income?

Yes they do appreciate it as they know how difficult it is to get a good tenants agreement and how difficult it is to source and build your own stadium.

They also realised, unlike SISU, that the Ricoh was a cheap gift horse.

So if we owned our very own 12k capacity stadium outside of Coventry, what sort of 24/7/365 revenue would be available that we currently don’t get? Stadium Heritage Tours for example?

Not about the pie money, it's about income and revenue streams the other 340 days each and every year.

Regarding the building being started that will happen if and when the land purchase and planning go's-through but before that happens you have to jump through an enormous number of hoops.

Highways, environmental, local roads and transport links etc. etc.. Unfortunately authorities tend to move at a snails pace!

Like you I don't know where it will be built ( but have a very good idea where ) and your talking about an acquisition of land between 50 & 70 acres ( with additional adjacent land for further future development ), so consultation and accurate detail are essential. Surely if SISU are in negotiation on a 50/70 acre plot not one jot of information has been leaked?All of those people, authorities involved and all not saying a word - never!
Also I seem to recall all surrounding District Councils were asked via FOI submissions if they were in/had any discussions with SISU and all gave a negative response.

Well yep, that's my beef. Where on where are they going to find this magical piece of land, near Coventry, that has this great access and fab parking and will be big enough to encompass a casino and exhibition halls and hotels etc?

It's getting all a bit beyond ridiculous now.

A new stadium in the middle of nowhere simply isn't going to generate the revenue. You need customers and customers want easy access and good location and great facilities.

This thing sounds like a white elephant before we even start. Whatever at first is mooted, you can be bound sure any reality wouln't even be half of that vision.

Sisu simply have to be looking how they can get more revenue and access to revenue through Wasps.

Wasps aren't going to be utilising the Ricoh for 365 days a year on a significant basis. There are halls etc. at the Ricoh that I am sure CCFC could utilise when Wasps aren't using them.

There is also the land around the Ricoh. If it is to be developed then Sisu need to be looking to see if they can get involved with that.

The capacity will be between 16,000 & 18,000 which is sensible if you look at our average gates over the last 15 to 20 years ( apart of course from our initial season @ the Ricoh ). The original 3-5 year schedule is surely reset with the return to the Ricoh?
The urgency has gone as there are no looming penalties from the FL.

And how do we envisage that happening if it is miles outside Coventry?

Put it this way, if it was in Rugby would it feel like our home? What about if it was in Nuneaton, or Atherstone, or Hinckley, or Leamington, or Warwick?

The burning question for everyone, is where is this magical piece of land close to Coventry?
