It's an all seater stadium and you can't stand, sorry.
I agree they should provide a standing area but they don't so sorry again.
If you stand you force others to stand. Many of our fans are children, women, short people, semi-disabled people with bad backs etc who cannot stand for 90+ minutes any more. I am one of these who is in some discomfort the next day every time I attend an away match in which you stand due to others standing, no choice.
Sorry again but sit down or be ejected in my view.
Fair enough Oakey but I suffer with lower back pain probably due to my job as a window cleaner. But find when I stand at games it is fine but the opposite when sitting. So maybe they should have a bad back section some sitting others standing !

So should our 'bad back' four be sitting or standing?

OK people's opinion please...

So my friends and I have sat, or not as the case may be, in our seats for 5 seasons (-1 at Sixfields) and deliberately choose our seats so we can stand to watch games. We have never been asked to sit, by another fan or stewards until tonight when a lad with his dad sat behind us and moaned about us standing. I argued my point about having had our seats there for several years, and despite him asking us not to be 'cunts' I respectfully sat during the game, because ultimately he's right, it is an all seater stadium. However our seats are five-ish rows from the back and on the right hand side of the scoreboard... so if you go to games you would know most people stand round there. Surely if you buy tickets in certain areas you can expect to stand... right?

I know in the grand scheme of things this a nothing post, but seriously I was a bit pissed about it and feel the need to vent!

Sounds like he's a great parent. Swearing at you in front of his kid!

Technically he's right. However, he was wrong on several levels that night I guess.

As an aside, there should be safe standing zones seeing as the stadium is never full. Give the people what they want!

I accept that at away games we're probably going to spend the game standing... at home I prefer to sit, but this season the football has been so exciting it has brought me spontaneously to my feet several times. Good on the lads and TM for instilling this passion in me again. Once the moment is over, I sit again. All very normal when your team is performing! I used to love standing at Highfield Rd, but actually when the excitement rose, you still had the same problem seeing the action, because you'd find yourself part of a crowd all bobbing their heads to get the best view. While the team are playing as they are, I think it's forgiveable to stand in the heat of the moment.....

I also like standing at games.
However at home I sit in block 16 about half way up.
we rarely have problems with people standing if they do we ask them to sit down or move closer to the back.
There are more of the older generation and young children by us who want to sit and have had the same seats for years, why then should we move to get a view when someone who has not been for a long time decides he wants to stand right in front of us.
I also feel awkward about having to stand and blocking the view of the supporter who has sat behind me for years.

you always get the 2 that decide to stand in the middle of the stand like they own the place with no concern for fellow supporters.
sit the fuck down or move to the standing section there is always plenty of room.
e
As for sitting in the right seats I saw a group in front of me who would not move from someone else's seat even though that supporter was disabled, shame on them. Stewards were a waste of time the disabled supporter and his carer had to be moved.

If you want to stand go find a seat in upper section in B14. They only sell tickets from B15 onwards so anyone you see there is there by choice. Pretty much is an unofficial standing section. Unless we sell out the North Stand as well they are not going to put the B14 tickets on sale for this reason...

My actual season ticket is 15-HH12&13 on the isle... everyone stands there too, so if you wanna use it then I won't be there anyway... until there is a sell out or something stupid.
