Agreed, the only possible change being Wright on the left, with EMC playing AM in place of Torp who drops to the Bench.

Depending on Wright's fitness of course.

Whatever the team is, there's more than enough attacking talent there to beat Stoke.
We dont play with an AM anymore. Its a flat 3 in midfield.

If he doesn't pick this side, it will be the final confirmation that I know nothing about football

It’s the starting line up that I would expect, although Sheaf and/or Wright could start if MR thinks they are match fit.

Allen is the other possible starter. He has had a good pre-season and is the acting captain. His energy could be useful in an away game.

Think I’d use Tuesday for Sheaf and Wright to get some proper minutes. Maybe restrict them to 10 or 20 on Saturday if needed. No need to rush anyone back, it’s a long season.

I don't think Wright will be ready to start, especially in an away game. So EMC for me.
I think MR will be tempted with Palmer but again risky away from home when we need sustained work rate/tackling back.
Torp and Rudoni hopefully will do the central creative stuff with Saka doing it wide.
It's impossible to know really isn't it? I am sure the fitness team will make the right judgement but if Wright is fully fit surely he has to play.

Sam Gallagher off 28 minutes into their last preseason game, calf injury. Blackburn fans not surprised by it, just that it took so long to come up hahahahaha

Really fancy us to turn them over, I’m gonna go 4-1. EMC, Simms x2 and a BTA goal off the bench. Silly mistake to give them a late consolation goal.

Just a thought, what happens if there's no police available for match days because they've all been pulled in to deal with the riots? Does the opening weekend get postponed?

It will stop soon, seems to have fizzled out today for a start

I would have thought there has to be a risk of this unfortunately.

Not seen it posted anywhere else, but was browsing the Sunderland forum and there is a thread asking if there is a likelihood that weekend games will be cancelled due to policing resources (with all the crap they may be facing from the 'mindless')? Will be gutted, but what do we think? Hadn't crossed my mind until I read it there, and obviously if the police are stretched, then football must come second (will make me even more annoyed with the 'kin idiots)

Edit: haha - just scrolled through the last couple of posts on this thread

Tbf I hardly think it's the fault of the new government.

I'm no fan of Starmer, but the guys only been PM for 5 minutes. This is obviously a big challenge that he could do without, but let's see how he handles it.

Let's give him a fair chance.

You mean let’s see if it actually happened or is WhatsApp bollocks like the woman getting acid in her face.

So the Acid in her Face didn't happen then? That's what our Muslims Friends are saying. 🤔

I agree but his reaction and branding everyone far right who dares speak out about mass immigration has fuelled this. The public see him as taking one side a long with their clear intent of scrapping any control on illegal immigrationQ has just caused this to escalate. Its those police officers taking the brunt on the front line for politicians incompetence that I feel sorry for

Wouldn’t shock me if the fixtures this weekend are called off, or at least some of them are. Doesn’t seem any of this shit is going to end any time soon.
