And you can tell he has a 'delicate attitude' how?

He hides in games and strong rumours he is shy in training. He needs to prove the rumours aren't true. There were reasons why he might have been behind the curve last season.

This is the season he has to prove he is up for grasping the nettle.

Personally, my opinion is he will be no more than a useful player coming off the bench once the game is stretched and there is a few tired legs.
I have seen no more than that, so it is up to him.

I do get it. I’ve repeatedly said the reason we haven’t got one in yet is because we keep getting gazumped, but as a fan it’s still concerning we haven’t got one in over a year.

I think we did Torp. It is just he has disappointed so far?

Yeah I think if he’d been the player we hoped we wouldn’t be having this convo. We’d be talking about how we need a Kelly style backup for Sheaf.
Yeah everyone banging on about sheaf and Torp as a partnership and in my opinion he should be 4th Choice Centre mid come the 31st August (if we sign someone)

been disappointing so far this season, but plenty of time to turn it around

I suspect we are done unless King bends on loans. His attitude is astonishingly short sighted on loans. We got O'Hare, Sheaf, Viktor and Binks via that route and two thirds of a great back 3 that got us to the play offs.
The first three you mention probably wouldn’t even be considered by the club now such is the squad we have.

Gyokeres when he can came on loan was competing with Biamou and Bakayoko for a squad place, then Waghorn and Walker.

We could have two players in mind and we're just hoping for a Vik or Gus sale to finance the better of the two. But if neither happen then we pull the trigger on one that is more of a project.

Josh Bowler to Preston....
Owen Beck to Blackburn... (Loan)
Tyler Morton to Leverkusen (Loan

Just a few that look like they might go through, all names I've seen on here in past. I actually really rate Bowler but we are stacked in those areas now.

Parachute payments should be explicitly reserved for paying the difference between FFP in the Championship and existing contracts that were made in the PL. Not buying the league the next season.
They should be binned off.

It's probably impossible (legally) but there should be mandatory relegation clauses in all players/managers contracts. All the clubs that are relegated now (possibly with the exception off the odd outlier like Luton) are able to generate the best part of £100M by selling 3 or four players, parachute payments should not be required.

Look at Burnley, they're about to sell Al-Dakhil now too (6m), on top of the others and even with Trafford maybe going, the amount they would have received from player sales alone is just silly. I don't know if they owe money to investors or still carry huge losses in previous years but still... how are other teams supposed to compete with that? It's seriously becoming just like society, the rich get richer and pull away and the rest of us haven't a chance to compete.

In fairness with Torp, his induction to English football could’ve been better. January was his preseason and he kept getting injured. Fast forward to this preseason, again, gets injured for most of it. Not ideal but doesn’t excuse the disappointing start.

Either way, last season I felt you could see glimpses of genuine quality. In all 4 matches this season, I’ve not really seen that so far this season so it’s a concern. By Xmas we really need to see improvement from him and Eccles or they’ll struggle to get in the team especially if we sign a multi-million pound CM.

In terms of investment, it’s by far our lowest outlay in the team so I just cannot fathom a CM won’t be brought in at the close of the transfer window.

Please send this to our recruitment department.

With the title "18 names to avoid".

In all seriousness, wasn't Nesta Guinness Walker talked about as being a decent prospect last year? Or was the hype based solely on his name
