I think we need to be more honest about the 19 goal season .
13 in the league which is fair , but in just 9 matches ,3 already this season without a goal he just doesn't strike me as an out and out goalscorer .
He's scored 13 in 49 league matches which is almost 1 in 4 and in 9 league games , so 40 league games without a goal , that's almost 80% of matches he's not scored in
Wright is the better goalscorer
I quite like simms tbh , but I'd rather sign billing plus cash .. billing must be worth 15 mill plus
They’re not errors at all, what nonsense is that! BTA was WBA’s top goal scorer last season and Bassette looks like a promising player.Well presumably money isn’t an issue otherwise spunking it on BTA and Bassette is a massive error.
lol. Apologies that was a bit much. But that swap deal is a complete fantasy.Unnecessary hostility does my head in on here, something of which you’re a prime candidate for.
But you have to admit it is sometimes mixed in with fanciful stuff which obviously will not happen
I’m saying both together, if we were struggling for money then we wouldn’t have spent circa £5m on backup strikers. They’re not errors at all, what nonsense is that! BTA was WBA’s top goal scorer last season and Bassette looks like a promising player.
We’ve got a squad to build and sometimes, the best available players aren’t the positions of need. If we have to wait until January, so be it.
I’ve been harsh on the midfield so far but Eccles has said he’s ‘trying new things’ and this Torp’s still new to English football. I wouldn’t write any of them off just yet.
Of course we do. Telegraph can put out more articles this way by saying it’s looking unlikely. Then suddenly, it’s back on.Sure this means we have at least one incoming?!
Apology accepted, now let me dreamlol. Apologies that was a bit much. But that swap deal is a complete fantasy.
Mate you're not negative , a dreamer regarding signings and money available maybe but not as dreary as others
Yeah, needed one of those but not both. Doubt it's a money thing, and it certainly sounds like they've been trying.I’m saying both together, if we were struggling for money then we wouldn’t have spent circa £5m on backup strikers.
RB is not that much of a concern because MVE has proven his durability and Lati playing the odd game to deputise is decent enough. My concern is that we concede soft goals and that will cost us more points than MVE being injured for a stretch. The same, to a lesser extent, could be said for the midfield too. This year, it's lack of depth in midfield and RB that could (with no reinforcement) means we miss out again. Still hanging to the hope they wouldn't be stupid enough to let Palmer go if we didn't have someone coming in.
Not exactly promising thoughSure this means we have at least one incoming?!
Soft goals for me are a result of not having a solid midfield when Sheaf is not available.RB is not that much of a concern because MVE has proven his durability and Lati playing the odd game to deputise is decent enough. What’s interesting about the Peruvian RB linked with earlier is that he plays LB too…
I don’t believe it for a second. Billing is contracted till 2027 and probably earning almost double what our top earners are on. I also can’t see him wanting the move at all, he was performing well in the prem but just doesn’t suit the new manager’s system. He would have much better options than us if he was to leave.Apparently there's something in it.
We’ve clearly identified Bassette as one for the future. Imagine had we not executed the deal, he has a breakout year elsewhere and we miss out on him.Yeah, needed one of those but not both. Doubt it's a money thing, and it certainly sounds like they've been trying.
We conceded soft goals with Sheaf in the team and the defenders haven’t changed…Soft goals for me are a result of not having a solid midfield when Sheaf is not available.
Helicopter just landed at CBS apparently.
Rumoured to be 45k a week , probably double what we could or would offerI don’t believe it for a second. I've not really tried to do anythingThis is classic pulling stats to suit an argument.
Discount 6 goals because you want to... Even though 2 came against top division opposition. Then discounting multiples in matches. Gyokeres only scored in 15 matches in his first full season... And 2 were multiple so he was also a 1/4 striker too then right?
You have also used matches as if he has started every game from memory in the first half of last season there must have been at least 10 games where Simms played less than 15 minutes?
Have you got dial up Internet mate?Cannot see Palmer being allowed to leave without another midfielder coming in. It makes zero sense, there has to be at least one incoming.
Didn't you hear? KP had a bust up with MR the other night. MR said to DK he goes or I go. There's turmoil behind the scenes and there's more departures to come.Cannot see Palmer being allowed to leave without another midfielder coming in. It makes zero sense, there has to be at least one incoming.
Cos we haven't replaced Hamer. We conceded soft goals with Sheaf in the team and the defenders haven’t changed…
Unreal if Arnie is our new CMHahaha I do love a good helicopter joke. I've tried to impress my friends with helicopter knowledge, but it just flew over their heads.
I know KP has already gone.....Have you got dial up Internet mate?

It’s not really panic over nothing though is itChrist this midfielder obsession. Complete panic over nothing
It’s really not, we now have 5 players for 3 spots. And one of those is Allen, who let’s be honest has no place starting for a playoffs side. One or two injuries and we’re screwed.Christ this midfielder obsession. Complete panic over nothing
I've not really tried to do anything
Simms scored 13 league goals
This season he has 0
He has scored in just 9 of his 49 league appearances .
Gyokeres is far superior to simms , not even worth debating , or arguing about really
Fuckin hell woke up expecting a signing or two what's going on doug
He's being a warrior not a worrierFuckin hell woke up expecting a signing or two what's going on doug
