You’ve suggested you’d be happy to just get our money back on a player who just scored 19 goals for us and spend it elsewhere. Wright is one of our best players and there was a reason why we’d have signed him had we beaten Luton.
Not arguing about his goal stats, but personally I can see him struggling to get that LW position next season once EMC gets a chance. In an ideal world he'd be on the bench (imho) and part of the squad, but (there's always a but) he's on very big wages and has a high value, even if we only recoup our outlay on him.

Add to that there's rumours of his Mrs not wanting to settle here, and you have to ask the question, is now a good time to cash in on him?

Be on the bench? He was like the 5th highest scorer in the division 😂

Haji can frustrate but he starts every day of the week, he’s a threat.

i think we’ll accommodate EMC and Wright

Hard to believe your views on the moon landing might actually be more rational than your football ones but here we are

Let’s compare his sources with yours …. I’ll wait

There’s a stark difference between me and him though. I don’t paint myself as some in the know transfer exposé like him and people on here that are so far up his arse.

He gets paid to recycle amateur rumours, or just wheel out ambiguous non-stories. And people lap it up every time.

No idea if this is true, but would potentially be a good move for all parties.

He will struggle to get that LW spot ahead of EMC and he's one of the top earners here. If we get our money back or even a profit off him I'd let him go and use the money else where.
Wright scored 19 goals and made 9 assists last season for us, and scored two more for the US, and you could make a decent argument that he was our player of the season. Yet you would drop him for someone who despite being 25 soon has never played above League One?

Not even sure where to begin.

I don’t think anyone on here is up his arse.

There are lots of fans on here who enjoy football transfer rumours and Nixon, Fabrizio, Whitcoop, insider, etc etc all add to that.

Over the years we have had some forum posters with good inside knowledge, not everything shared has proven to be correct but we have enjoyed it all the same.

And played and scored in a World Cup a couple of years ago…and would have been signed even if we’d gone up.

His argument is ridiculous but not sure we have to use Wright to write off our new signing either. I'm sure EMC will prove to be an excellent pick up, and again the disparaging of league 1 players as if none can step up is needless.

I’m sure he will but the idea that Wright will up being backup for him is just nonsense. Even if EMC is first choice, it’ll mean Wright is playing as part of a two.

What an absolute crock of shit

Wright is one of our best and most important players

Yeah not sure why people reserve so much hate for all the bullshit rumour merchants, when we clearly live for the drama they create.

The bloke has scored 19 goals and has 8 assists in his first season. Your opinions about him are laughable

That’s all well and good but I was only referring to how he was in his time with us

Thought you had me on ignore skippy ;)

He has been rubbish in the system we now play.

He was good for us but he like a lot of them were helped out by the more defensive style we played in that season.

Thomas offers higher upside, he was much cheaper and he hasn't been found out to be gash in the back four system we play

I don’t understand how you see what I said was writing off EMC or disparaging. It was entirely factual. I was making the point that there is a gulf in their experience and careers to date and the absurdity that Wright should be dropped.

Let’s face it at this moment in time EMC is unproven above league one level. He has the tools to succeed, he’s quick, skilful and looks a cut above league one. However Wright is a different level of player to EMC, that is just a fact

It's a completely pointless comparison. I'm sure sometimes they'll play together, other times they'll rotate as we'll actually be able to do that more next season without bringing total shit into the team, which will be nice.
Its a slightly put-downish comment about someone because they've not played above league 1 yet, which funnily enough is something I associate with fatso, so it's weird he'd ask for Wright to be dropped for one... I guess you eventually come full circle when you're constantly dreaming up ways to write off every player we own.

Again. There’s a difference between just some profile on here and some berk writing articles of nothing in a tabloid. The latter causes no drama at all because it’s that ambiguous.

Thanks for the effort lads but I’m just not feeling it.
You’ll feel worse when the inevitable Paterson rumours start again.

How about:

‘Who the Sky Blues Could Move For…’

Courtesy of the CTE.

That’s also inevitable and probably incoming.

Well he broke the story of Sheaf joining us and I hadn’t read that anywhere prior to that ….

Who was it he said that we had a done deal for a couple seasons back, and it was then reported we weren’t even interested? It happened in successive seasons too. A lot of his reports are unsubstantiated.

He obviously knows Sheafs agent very well 😂

It's not down putting at all. I am not saying he's rubbish, I am just saying he hasn't played higher than League 1 and it would seem odd therefore to think Wright should be dropped to accommodate him.

The comments that are made about players on here and you pick on me saying EMC hasn't played above League 1 yet! If it was untrue fine I could understand, but it's a fact!
