Said a few weeks back Kasey could be leaving this summer

As ive said before he and his agent have a vastly inflated view of how good he thinks he is, and how good he actually is

So could be legs to it
His agent wasn’t exactly subtle in putting the Norwich rumour around in January as a way of gauging interest and trying to get more money on his contract.

Think his best chance of a payday is if Celtic or Rangers came in for him, would suit him very well.

I don’t really understand the Palmer dislike or willingness to just rid of him.

7 assists and 4 goals this season is not a bad return.

I agree we need to strengthen in midfield and I would like to think when all fit he isn’t in the starting 11, footballs a squad game and Palmer had his best season for us, he’s a good squad player who’s had a good season, he offers something different from an average number 10, creates for others, strong and a threat from free kicks.

I suspect Palmer playing above O’Hare was Robins proving a point.

not sure his role justifies his wage at that point though.

Isn’t June 1st when players players with contracts expiring can ‘officially’ talk to other clubs? If so may be some movement on Browne and O’hare situations

They will have been talking to clubs for months now.

The contract expiry date is little more than symbolic these days. Deals can be confirmed and announced ahead of the existing contract expiring but they can’t take effect until after it has expired.

I think it’s pretty poor for a 10 to be honest.

Palmer doesn’t offer too much defensively so his attacking contribution is really his main reason for being in the team.

If we went back to the last time we were in the championship Palmer would have been seen very differently, Im pretty sure most if not all fans would love him because he puts it all out there until he cant anymore and he does work hard, to me his only issue is consistency, but thats why he’s here and not made the Premier League. But from his performance against Wolves against seasoned Premier League footballers he looked really good so who’s to say he cant get there one day

I believe it can only actually be confirmed prior to a month before if the club have released the player. In these 2 cases of Browne and Ohare, this has not happened

We need to keep the ball better next year, he loses the ball a lot trying a flick or a through ball.

That being said, when it does work, it’s quality. Deffo need a player like that but not as a starter.

Contract is up at the end of the year and doubt he will be renewing so if someone comes in with an offer, he is gone.
