Fuck sake man, you cant seriously judge anyone on the shitshow that was Brum away can you?! madness.

the players were 100% in self preservation mode at that point, dropping levels and not fully commiting to challenges because they would miss the Semi through injury or suspension

Said it a million times its not an excuse but it is the reason. Mentality needs working on but people need to stop judging players on these one off fuck ups and disregard the good parts.

Torp had an excellent cameo in the Semi and was a toenail away from going down as a Coventry legend
So much potential to come from him .

Torp isn't a 6 - Adi said so himself.

He looks great on the ball but struggled out of possession, which I'm sure will improve over the summer.

Would benefit the most if we do move to 4-3-3

There’s no way we actually play 442 next season
I think as a back-up formation it might. Arguably more likely than a 5ATB.

We've got players to fit that formation as it stands, Sheaf, Eccles or Torp in the centre, Saka and EMC as wingers and Wright and Simms up front. Could even argue Tavares could be a wildcard playing in a two up front with a 'big man'

I think the link with Rudoni as an O’Hare ‘replacement’ is a natural one due to his work rate. Rudoni is a very very good footballer, but moreover he works his absolute bollocks off.

Palmer can go for me, I lost my temper with him wayyy too often last season. And I’m not an angry person in the slightest. He genuinely makes me so angry because he’s so talented, but waltzers around the pitch like he doesn’t have to work like the others do.

Still think the view Palmer doesn't work hard is total rubbish I can understand why some people would get annoyed with some of the flicks not coming off but I don't think there should be any question about work rate. Feels like a re-hashed label that got out on him by his last club. I do think ha he's been asked to try the more risky passes too though especially in games where we are struggling to break them down.

I have just been reading a list of players released by some Premier League teams this summer. Any of these realistically possibly on our radar?

Aaron Cresswell (West Ham)
Ryan Sessegnon (Spurs)
Ben Johnson (West Ham)
Max Lowe (Sheffield United)
Scott McKenna (Notts Forest)
Jayden Bogle (Sheffield United)
Gabriel Osho (Luton)

All full backs / centre backs

No. Only Scott McKenna who's shit at belongs in the SPL and Max Lowe who is probably too injury prone for us.

I don’t have any stats to back it up, I’m sure someone will find them. But I’d bet my house that he’s in the lower echelons of distance covered when he plays. The amount of times opposition players just run past him with the ball is frightening. My biggest gripe is when he gives it away and he flings his hands around and doesn’t try and get the ball back. Anyone else in the team chases it straight away, he doesn’t.

Saw this as a twitter rumour this morning, would be a great addition to the CB unit IMO. Although twitter rumours are always tenuous.
Right sided so would provide competition to Thomas rather than compliment Thomas.

Agree and made all the more frustrating by seemingly being such a simple thing to fix.

Went after him in two windows if rumours are to be believed so I think we’d definitely be interested.

Only thought is after last season if Robins is after experience at CB he doesn’t fit the bill

Not sure if people have mentioned this but I would love to get that Harrison Burrows from Peterborough to link up with Mason-Clark down the left. I think if we got him we'd be perfect running the 4-1-2-1-2 wide formation next season. Could be really exciting with that Peterborough partnership down the left, Van Ewijk and Sakamoto down the right with both Wright and Simms up top.

Bit of a left field shout (and by no means a rumour I’ve seen) but would anyone be interested in Troy Parrott joining? Seems to have had a respectable season in the Eredivisie, one year left on his deal at Spurs and very unlikely to break into their team. Probably not done as well as he could in previous Championship loans and a bit of a dodgy social network by all accounts.

Fairly sure he has a reputation for hanging out with some really terrible people including the most high-profile mobster in Ireland's son. Can't see Robins going for someone with that kind of off field rep.
