Of course we have enough to field 11 players, in fact we can easily field two teams of 11 players. Obviously keeper is a problem but we have two full teams here:

Wilson
MvE
Bidwell
Thomas
Binks
Eccles
Sheaf
Rudoni
Wright
Simms
EMC

Collins
Burroughs
Dasilva
Latibeaudiere
Kitching
Torp
Allen
Palmer
Sakamoto
Tavares
Rodriguez

That's before you even get to youngsters like Andrews, Obikwo, Daush etc.

I am sure we will sign more but they can't all be exotic foreign signing names for £5million unless we sell some of our assets first.

If we have to wait to land the right fit, I am fine with it. Rather than just bring someone in so we can say we have signed someone.

Yep.

We've added 2 untried wingers, we have high hopes For EMC, and he should be the bollocks but Rodrigues could be yakubu could be Tats

Binks who we had anyway

Rudoni who's evidently very inconsistent.

Add another 3 or 4 of quality we will be there, and I'm sure we will just saying as it is at the moment it's just a bit meh

I know Saddle can defend himself, and I’m not trying to speak for him, but I don’t think him or anyone else is “panicking”, we’re just saying it’s not been a good transfer window so far as others have claimed. I have hope we’ll get in at least 2-3 signings but I don’t think any of us panicking, just yet.

Stamenic deal looked legit so clearly still got some money to play with even without Gyok leaving, and i doubt that had any affect on the purchase of the keeper either, which i'd imagine was happening independently and as well as Stamenic. Be patient, could still be some interesting incomings.

We bought Rudoni presumably with the money we would have spent on Stamenic, and Binks.

It would nice to think we still have money, but since Stamenic jilted us, we bought Rudoni for near the same rumoured amount. I am therefore unconvinced.

Do we desperately need a CM? We have Sheaf, Eccles, Torp, Rudoni, Allen and then Palmer if we only played 2 of those noted. Don’t get me wrong, I want one and think we’ll bring one in, but we’re not exactly in a ‘bare bones’ situation.

Only three of those are DMs, and Torp is yet to prove himself. So yes.

It's moaning for moanings sake tbh. This season starts almost a week later than last season, our first friendly isn't for 2 weeks and it's still over a month til we start. By all means start analysing the window when it's actually pivotal but for now it makes little sense. Only those with zero patience or constant negativity seem to have an issue with the current transfers.

At the moment we've got probably the 4th or 5th strongest squad on paper in the league and apart from Sheff Weds and Oxford have done the most business this window (I think). We've also got one of the best managers. And we're a club with momentum behind us.

Nothing to panic about.

Dovin in, then a ST and CM on loan would be OK. No need to panic yet we’re a month away from the season starting and two from the window closing. But always nice to get everyone in asap once training has started.

I don’t think anyone’s really “analysing” it as such, I was just saying so far it’s not been amazing, really just a passing comment that’s all.

I've kind of come to terms with having the 4 we have now and hoping Lati just isn't as shit as he was in the latter half of the season. I actually expect all 4 to go up a notch this season.
Totally agree. Even our better players who signed last year are all a year older, more experienced, a full preseason and coached by Robins/Adi for a year. I expect Wright, Simms and MVE who were all strong last season to be better again and hit the ground running. Torp hopefully settled too as looked great in early glimpses. We've added more capable of affecting the first team and moved on a few of slightly lesser quality.

Main issue for me now is a keeper. I can't really comment if Dovin is the answer as I know little of him and tbh it's the one area where I'd have gone for experience over an asset we can improve.

I don’t think we appreciate how difficult it is to sign players, the agents and players will wait for the best deal being offered or the transfer which suits best eg country or City/town. MR will have a list but certainly not panic yet.

We need to sign more than 2 players. Our squad was tiny last season and as things stand we’re currently net 0 in terms of ins/outs.

It's 8th July FFS.

Folks saying it's a boring window are used to 10-12 leaving each time. Other than O'Hare, no one that's just left is a loss to the match day squad.

We've spent more on players joining this summer than across SISU's time here. Slightly worried some of us on here got entitled in the space of 12 months.

Collins
Wilson

MvE
Latibeaudiere
Thomas
Binks
Kitching
Bidwell
Da Silva

Sheaf
Eccles
Torp
Rudoni
Palmer
Allen

Sakamoto
Raphael
Simms
Tavares
Wright
EMC

Let that sink in. Apart from RCB, that's two players we own in each position. Add in there's reason to believe we'll add a GK, a CM, a CB and a striker. Chill your tits!

Last summer we started pre-season full of U18s and U21s. Now we've got a month to find a few upgrades and depth options. Not half a first XI. Boring? Nah.

You seem to be replying to a lot of points that I didn’t make? I know it’s the 8th of July, I didn’t say we needed to make a ton of signings right this instant. You’re the one who said we only needed to sign two more players and then our business would be done. I was saying that two players isn’t enough, no matter the timeframe.

Maybe. I cba quoting everyone.

You said the squad was tiny, though. It's not. Add Burroughs, Obikwu, Dausch and it's 24 players before any others come in.

I don't want us to waste cash having 26 players on first XI wages so for me, one or two players in and we're sorted on numbers.

If we want upgrades at GK and CM and that means shipping out a couple of Allen, Palmer, Collins, Wilson, Tavares first, sound.

Completely agree, I don’t think any of us are panicking, there’s loads of time left this window, it’s just that the signings so far haven’t exactly been special. I think EMC and Rudoni will be good but we’ve lost O’Hare (who’s better than Rudoni) and our defence is the same as last season. I don’t think it’s a shocking thing to say that the window so far has been average, “so far” being the important bit.
