Definitely another find by the stats nerds. Really high numbers for headers won, dribbling success and assists.

Plus he’s very fast and strong. Goalscoring record is pretty poor though.
I don’t think his goal scoring is even that bad. 5 in 15 last season (15 goals in a full season). 10 in 34 as a 20 year old for Maastricht

I get that, but I reckon I could hit 5 goals in the Eerste Divisie and I haven't played in 3 years.
Standard of players around him will be lower tho so playing with better players might lead to more goals.

Think he’s got some good attributes and as someone else said the stat nerds have clearly identified things they like. Looks very quick which is different to what we’ve got up top. Clearly one for us to develop and improve whilst serving as a decent backup for simms.

Can we make this journo an honouree sky blue?

He's saw that we'd got Dovin in and didn't have any serious rumours to keep the forum entertained, so chuck us a Mitchy sized bone to run with.

It might take time, but equally we’ll be looking to cash in on a number of players reaching their peak value next summer. We need to be giving it a proper go this season.

Agreed with this, there are players in the team who will do ‘for now’ before they need to replaced.

For example, LB is a position we need to improve but Bidwell is experienced and a solid operator and JDS is on a long contract. It’s unlikely either player will be replaced this season. Given that we’ve supposedly looked at signing Doyle, McCallum and Burrows suggests it’s an area we’ll improve if the opportunity is there. Same applies to RB where I doubt Lati is seen as someone who can operate how we want in that role and can’t see Burroughs getting many minutes. Allen needs to be upgraded, but it’s not a move we need to do this season unless someone is willing to pay good money for a player turning 30 in Jan.

It’s incremental and we can’t gut the team every year but being realistic, we need to have an eye on next season if we don’t get promoted because Sheaf and others will want to move on.

Stats Nerds ? A rather belittling term.

How do you think the Recruitment Team find their targets ?

Do they randomly go out to every football pitch in Europe and Scandanavia hoping to view a talent ?

Stats are what most decisions are made on. Moreso when we're talking about million euro deals.

This method hasn't hurt us so far.

And for his goalscoring, Simmo came to us with just as poor a record. He turned out alright, didn't he ? ;)

Like EMC at Peterboro. You're only as good as the players around you.

How have you worked that one out, Simms literally scored 7 goals in 17 games for Sunderland in the Championship the season before?!? Add to that a goal against Chelsea in the PL.

Simms, MVE and Sheaf would probably all be sold, maybe Wright too though there’s an option in our favour with him. Sakamoto quite possibly as well.

Realistically, if King could find the finance I’d push to strengthen where is needed on the basis that if we don’t go up then a lot of sales will be made. All assuming that Gyo doesn’t move of course.

Comes down to FFP though. You cant account for sales if they havent been made

Apparently posh have accepted bids from a couple championship sides for Harrison Burrows revealed today. Makes you wonder if we had a cheeky bid in the end if it’s only three million as reported.

Poor wording on my part. Accepted.

But for this lad to be dismissed as he "only" scored 5 in 15 games last season when Simmo was on par before coming to us is a bit rich.

Surely this signing is the model we will become accustomed too?

We have two strikers who we will sell on at some point , so we need the next striker/s to be signed to be ready to replace in the future

Hopefully he has a similar progression to Vik 😄

Imagine the shithousery from us; Sheffield been linked all summer with him, fans and everyone certain he's going there as a marquee signing , they sign O'Hare and even have him put the sunglasses on in his media video, Gus is there and the blades fans thinking they've done us over only to see him donning a sky blue shirt doing his media video for us after signing a 4 year deal..... Same sunglasses in the camera shot, he picks them up, looks at them and throws them away, the caption above:

'Looking 'Sharp' Harrison 🕶️😁✅'

Unfortunately there is no O' Hare sunglasses emoji 🤣
