I’d like to hope this isn’t true as otherwise he runs the risk of becoming a bit of a sell out, chasing the money rather than establishing himself as a great player.

In my humble opinion he should be looking to establish himself somewhere in a successful team where he’s going to shine and earn himself that big move to a top half Prem or European team, and he’s not going to do that flitting between the next team to get promoted only to (probably) come straight back down again. Probably better staying at Sheff Utd another season or two if that’s the case as more chance he’ll stand out and get the move he might want.

OR fulfil the prophecy and come back home to single handedly guide us to automatic promotion - that would also work
Whilst I agree, let's focus on the positives: 1) he would no longer be in the championship 2) we get some $$$

Is there an expiry date on his release clause from relegation? I am sure I read that SU fans were celebrating because a certain date had passed unless the heat has got to me?
Allegedly, yes.
But if bids come in it just means that the club are more in the driving seat than the player would have been if the clause was active.

The better solution is Vik moves soon and that cash gives what we need and then Hamer moves at the last second so they can’t use the cash to bring in more.

the better solution is Vik moves and we use the money to buy Gus and pay him a nice healthy signing on fee, and he is the answer to all our prayers - and it turns out that’s why we’ve been holding out for a centre mid all this time realising there was actually method to the madness 👀👀

Not sure we are going to pay him anywhere near Premier League wages.

Got to question it,and why's the team that ends up with him waiting for him to first move to Portugal and subsequently on!!

The lazy prem teams could have picked up Vik for a tiny fee (compared to Solanke) then loaned him out for a year.

I'm not apologising for anything. If you are going to get upset about something you've deliberately taken out of context then that's entirely on you as a person. It was pretty clear to most people what I meant, and anything else regarding policing language is stupid. As is using it as a way to win an argument. It isn't a laughing matter for a lot of people and pretending to get offended about something that isn't there to win internet points by using it is shitty. This will be my lost comment on this whole thing because it is ridiculous.

I didn't see anyone trying to win internet points. Pretty unfair to say when you don't know how your comment was interpreted by the individual, especially considering it is a well known derogatory term for gay people - look it up if you don't believe it. You're also contradicting yourself, because you say it's an important subject which isn't a laughing matter, but aren't willing to slightly adapt your language which would take the entirety of 2 seconds. Getting into an uproar about something doesn't necessarily make you right.

Perhaps some of our older posters on here should be cut a bit of slack rather than spoken to like naughty school children. Not every one on this forum has had to undergo DEI training and I don't think its a pre requisite to join. Folks should be careful as these type of hurty word scenarios have a habit of biting individuals on the arse.

Don't you have an extremely questionable posting history on this forum?

The site that claims Hamer to Ipswich has 80 followers so not sure on the credibility of this one.

Arsenal don't half piss around in the market. They need to get rid of Nketiah, Reiss Nelson and fund a proper striker. A Swedish one.

That's the same page that said Ipswich and Forrest both activated his release clause the other day so it could have credibility, I hope this happens! Nice cash boost and as Del boy once said loverly jubbly

Why do people give any credibility to accounts with so few followers?
There is a little bit more than just this.
One account I checked had 3k following.
A couple of tweets on the Ipswich side too.
Still quite isolated but it has been a constant since yesterday now...

We don't need a hard bastard, we need players like Allen, Torp, Palmer actually stepping up and being counted rather than being happy to just feature. We need Simms to start believing in himself again to bully and drag defenders around.

Yes another 'quality' midfielder would be great, but these lot have been here a while now and Robins has kept them for a reason and they need to start stepping up. Allen had good excuses last season with missing pre season with a heart scare, but he's had a full pre season, featured in every game and he needs to now step up or step out.
The depth nor quality is there. Robins said we needed more quality in midfield and we’ve only added Rudoni to replace COH. Who, in the now, isn’t necessarily an upgrade on COH despite my belief that he’ll turn out to be a better player over time.

We’ve added a lot of quality in our forward areas. There’s been next to no additions in midfield or defence. We’ll have the same issues as last season if it isn’t addressed before the window closes.

In short, our squad is still short of the quality to compete at the top of the division.

I still struggle to see where Palmer fits in this season .
If we can shift him it frees up the possibility of signing two midfielders. Maybe one permanent and one loanee ?
Back up to Rudoni, can play wide too, and covers additional positions in different formations.
He makes things happen. Should of been on at HT for me on Sat

I think we need two players, one in defence, one in midfield, it’s pretty obvious

Hamer will go before the window closes, he would of took a hit on his wages and will look to recoup the loss. Plenty of teams would pay the wage he wants and take him no problem. I think the fee will be the hold up as Sheff utd will want more than 15 mill.

The squad tomorrow will tell you if he is close to out or not. As for us our squad tomorrow may give more clues on who is surplus and will be looked to be moved on.

Id be happy with any Owen Beck, James O connell, Worrell, Travis and Madsen.

Interesting you mention Beck.
West Brom have an interest. Wonder if he is on our radar!?
