Billing is an excellent player at this level but quite different from Hamer, doesn't seem a very suitable replacement.
Different, but similar output I think.

Probably doesn't quite have the range of passing from deep, not Gamers dynamism but as a box to box player he is great.

Apparently has a release clause of five million euros. Wonder if we could just take it as a loan and pay it once vik and hamer move.

Horrible way to operate if we're trying to be self-sufficient. No guarantee that either move and always the possibility of bad injuries prevent them from ever moving.

Personally I think the Leeds move for Hamer is a big smokescreen by there board to appease fans. They had the money from Gray and Summerville to trigger Gus' release clause a couple of weeks ago and did nothing. Now they bid below the release clause and get batted away instantly. Stinks of the board being able to say 'we went after the best in the champ but other clubs didn't want to play ball.'

Completely get it but if they don’t move we know we sell someone next year unless we go up. Nothing wrong in saying we’ll sell one of the Crown Jewels next year so let’s use that to pay for this while Doug offers us a no interest loan to cover?.

Assume the release clause would never have applied to Leeds anyway. Normally applies to a club in a higher division.
