No we are not lacking a CM for the first XI

When Sheaf plays the midfield is good, Torp looks a much better player when Sheaf is there.

We are lacking quality depth though but the first XI when fit are a top 6 team.
So you’re saying that our midfield is fine but have listed Sheaf as a starter (almost guaranteed to get injured) and Torp who has also had quite a number of injuries since joining.

No, as I clearly the first XI when fit is really fucking good.

I also said we do lack quality depth

But your starting XI includes two players who have their fair share of injuries. I’d put money on at least one being out for a decent time before January.

Torp also yet to convince many, no proof he can do it consistently at this level.

Turner just said we are after a CM and defender but he’s not convinced the CM will happen now.

really disappointing if true. We are 1 injury away from being very short in there like we have been these first few weeks

That Injury has happened aswell

Im furious

So we arent 9th in the table and in the third round of the cup then? Must be my imagination. Jesus you even get negative when we win 3 out of 5
Whilst the results are fine, the performances we’ve been getting aren’t going to be beating the better sides. Law of averages says the performances are going to catch up on us.

im happy with the start but let’s not pretend we weren’t poor for large parts against Bristol and Stoke in the league and defended like part timers against newly promoted Oxford

I’m not being negative, I’m being realistic. We are well stocked in most other areas and we have a Bench that can come on and change games. There is a glaring hole in midfield where we need to bring in someone to help take us to the next level. Everyone can see that

Should know the crack by now, after the Everton friendly we were raving how good we were, after the stoke game it was season over, put in a good performance sat and a win and we’ll be top 2 again, 😂 even with the squad as it is we’re good enough for the play offs

Why do we always go down to the wire on deadline day?

Is it because:-

a) We need all the possible time to prise away the players we want?
b) The selling club wants to hold on as long as possible?
c) We want to bank our cash until the last possible minute?
d) We need the first few weeks of the season to establish our needs
e) Other?

Surely we need more than a few hours to sort medicals, submit forms, meet the player, take photos etc
