With Palmer gone I'm sure we have at least one signing lined up?!

Unless there really was an issue in the locker room and robins just wants rid no matter what

Also

I quite like simms , but let's not pretend he's bagging tons in the league becaude he's not but he may well develop further this season .

Billing is proven , worth about 15-20 mill and would immediately improve us .. that was the point .

I personally think we lose simms we still score goals and win matches
Ffs we are talking about Billing not Foden …. You don’t swap your keading striker for a good midfielder.

Didn't you hear? KP had a bust up with MR the other night. MR said to DK he goes or I go. There's turmoil behind the scenes and there's more departures to come.

A bit of rumour with a load of bolt on made up stuff added on.

Still no closer to signing anyone, Palmer going seems odd unless we can bring in another.

Bit of a shambles this

This is just projecting though isn't it. Nobody knows what is going on they have plugged the leaks. It's just a load of divs stirring the pot. We heard little about Bassette and BTA until the deals were done or leaks came from other sources.

Let's just see what happens at 11

Billing has played 65 times in the Premier league over the last 2 seasons scoring 9 goals from midfield .

He's 28 not 33 and would transform our midfield , Simms leaving would not IMHO make us any less a threat as we have Wright asante and bassette

Billing PLUS cash ? Just my opinion I'd take it

I've not really tried to do anything

Simms scored 13 league goals

This season he has 0

He has scored in just 9 of his 49 league appearances .

Gyokeres is far superior to simms , not even worth debating , or arguing about really

Where did I say that Simms was superior to Gyokeres? I used your exact statistical argument against you. That was the point. Not a comparison of the players themselves.

The issue we face, it’s that we have Sheaf this year, so ideally we needed to supplement the midfield adequately to have a real good go. Next season we will still have this CM problem, coupled with the fact we will have an extremely tough task to replace Sheaf.

The last two seasons that have seen us make a playoff final and a FA cup semi final ?
Hardly been disasters

Sure, but we're sorely lacking in quality midfield options especially now that Sheaf is out for God knows how long again. Not sure how we make the POs off the backs of Eccles, Torp and Allen at CM.

Ok. I don’t agree but that’s fine.

I suspect you have not watched that much of Billing this last 18 months.

All that did was suggest vik scored in 33% of our matches 1st season and over 40% second season

Very Decent figures

Exactly this, realistically we've lost O'Hare and Palmer. O'Hare missed nearly a season and a half and only had a brief purple patch when he returned. The way the majority on here moaned about Kasey then he'll be little loss. We have added Rudoni. So 1 down. I'm sure we'll get something over the line still time

We're not sorely lacking . We've been short of a quality CM/DM all summer .
And why does everyone not mention Rudoni ?

So you are talking about the second season now too to make your arguement?

I don't disagree about your view on the swap deal being better for us by the way. I just don't like people taking selective stats to back an argument.
