Going into December and we still haven't won away. Very poor. 6 points dropped in the 90th min onwards vs 3 top 6 rivals. Not good enough.
Going into December, 5th in the table with just two defeats from 18.

Some people need to calm the fuck down. Yes we've got issues but we're not struggling FFS....

Not sure how Hiwulu and O’Hare are getting slated. We didn’t get the ball out of our half hardly after they came on due to the inevitable pressure.

We’ve done well with our 3rd/4th choice striker leading the line for 3 games.

Jordy and Max coming back and Godden to follow. Agree it feels like two points dropped but I can’t be anything other than optimistic for the second half of the season.

Problem with that was taking Baka off to still provide a bit more of a physical presence. Should've replaced Shipley and Westbrooke IMO.

Didn't think it was the subs themselves that were the issue but more the decision to drop deeper and start playing longer balls into the channels to waste time/see the game out. Should have been braver, carried on playing high up the pitch and got the ball into the feet of O'Hare and Hiwula in places they could be dangerous. We will never be consistent enough at picking up wins when we rely on winning games by 1 goal, teams are never ever out of the game when they play us.

Considering we played with two of the most ineffective players we have Bakayoko and Hiwula I’ll reluctantly take the dropped 2 points on the chin something has to be done about them Hiwula looked knackered after being on 5 minutes all he had to do was run and support when under pressure and Again Bakayoko missed imo opinion 3 easy chances at vital times although we did score from a resulting corner
But on the whole we looked and are a decent team, get the strikers right we’ll go up.

A good away point, but with a performance like that it should have been 3. The win would have been sweet against moaning Slumberland.

Unless we start winning away we’ll be lucky to get into the play offs, many teams around us have a couple of games in hand.

Can we get a bit of perspective here.

Sunderland's home record in L1 is played 31, won 17, drawn 13, lost 1. We're currently 5th.

Some of the responses on here you'd think we'd just been relegated.
None of that is fucking relevant is it when we just threw away 2 points in the game? It was there for the taking and we fucked it up. In fact, I think those stats make it even more of a frustrating opportunity missed

Mcfadz again, backed him for weeks when he’s been getting slagged off but he’s starting to cost us.... maybe look to get a new defender in Jan

Worrying how many points we are dropping so late in games comes down to game management which is installed from
Managers & staff not good enough

Disappointing that - Sunderland were really poor. Get a player who can score and this team will do very well in this league.
Ponticelli can score but he's been frozen out. Would have made a much better substitute than Hiwula today.

I don’t think we are clinical enough or

I know this is a massive “if” and can be swatted away with “you can say that about anyone”, but if we could keep our concentration and could finish our chances, those 6 points dropped you just mentioned would put us in automatics.

That is what separates us from promotion contenders. No chance this season as it stands.

I agree, we aren't good enough up front, and we do seem to do stupid things at the back, these are issues that keep rearing their head, at some point, they need to start learning or they need replacing, It keeps happening time and time again.

The fact that he's never pulled up any trees in the first team here or on loan leads me to believe that he's probably not the answer. Of what we have, I still think Max is the best option - but paired with Godden or Jordy.

Yes we should have stayed on the front foot. We paid the price. Lucky Sunderland. But regardless of what Oggy and Juggy are saying on the radio Baka isa weak link, chances not taken. Biamou must come in. Frustrating. Shipley was following his shadow today. Westbrooke good for 60 minutes. So we now have Allen and O'Hare chomping at the bit. It's a good point and plenty of teams have to go there.

Allen should have come on around 80 mins today sounded like we needed some experience legs once they made their subs, think today not having Max or godden probably cost us... need that way win!

You sum it up with the phrase “of what we have”
Unfortunately, what we have is nowhere near good enough.
Bakayoko, Biamou, Hiwula, Kastaneer, and Ponticelli need moving on asap.
How soon we can do it however, is the issue.

Its fair to say with a better striker we would have been 2 or 3 up by half time

That said baka wasnt that bad. Hes just bot got that killer instinct it seems

Should have won but to be fair they had a very good pen shout turned down and, despite being on the back foot for much of the match, had a couple of decent chances. Pleased with the points we've picked up in the last 3 games when Baka has been our only attacking option. Fingers crossed we can kick on now as he get players back.

Even though Hyam scored he had a shocker, if only he had just put the ball in the stands.
How can you say that ? Our defence shut Sunderland out most of the game was always going to come under pressure towards the end of the game, our problem is centre-forward neither Bakayoko or Hiwula have any idea how to hold up the ball and that’s puts pressure on other positions. Hyam a top player for us

You need to stop with this obsession, he's been given loads of matchtime at Tranmere isn't he?

Oh wait, he cant even get on their bench.

Bakayoko was holding the ball up, Hiwula is even less than a lone striker than Bakayoko.

Hyam although he scored didn't have the best game today.
