Is the club actively trying to encourage fans to get to their seats before the KO? The congestion in the concourses is made worse by lots of fans just standing around. Now, I know some are entering or queueing or drinking or using the facilities. The rest have every right to stand where they wish but it would make things easier if they could be nudged to take their seats.
The whole thing is a nightmare if you are trying to get a wheelchair through to the middle blocks in that stand. What is adding to the congestion is all the Street bars, food and beer ect, just outside the East Stand.
Leaving it to the last minute before going in to get their seats.

that is down to the badly designed concourse, there's areas where there is a concessions stand opposite a toilet block and the queues from both can then form a wall across the concourse. The whole thing is a nightmare if you are trying to get a wheelchair through to the middle blocks in that stand.
If the outside mobile catering stands were undercover and like the pop concerts you went through the turnstiles at the side of the stand without actually entering it would make sensethat is down to the badly designed concourse, there's areas where there is a concessions stand opposite a toilet block and the queues from both can then form a wall across the concourse.
Crazy really in this day and age how people can’t be trusted to have a beer in the crowd. In the US the blokes are walking around with “tall boys” the big cans, and everyone’s just having a great time in their seat having beers watching the game. Also buying food and hot dogs and stuffThe number of people, with season tickets, who walk through the turnstile then stop like they have no clue where they're going drives me insane.
There's one obvious solution to the congestion in the concourses, let people drink in the stands but that's not happening anytime soon. Would also mean even more people who can't go 45 minutes without getting up and moving around.

Time to get a grip i think
CBSWhere did it take place @Sky Blue Pete ?
Doug is convinced that everyone is on the same page in terms of the club playing at the cbs long term and frasers are expecting this too
It’s the one fly isn’t it?Would be fantastic news if we could get this over the line and signed up to something long-term.
Oh I did ask how many season tickets had been taken off pekple not using them or exchanging them from the family zone. It’s zero
Absolutely. Think it’s also weeded out the people who were taking the piss also. That was only ever going to happen in extreme case, despite the warnings. I think what it has done, is made people actively move their season tickets on to family and friends, when they can't go. We've done it several times this season, there's always someone who'll take a seat or two off you. And it's no bad thing really, as you are probably introducing potential new fans/season ticket holders to the club.
Almost fell out with a friend on Facebook over it. They feel Doug is victimising children and families and I’m just no so sureAbsolutely. Think it’s also weeded out the people who were taking the piss also.
You also get covered in beer every time there’s a goalCrazy really in this day and age how people can’t be trusted to have a beer in the crowd. Harsh it costs the club when it’s not the clubs decision.CBS
Proper notes will come out soon
I wish they were quicker but quite a lot was said
Not much questioning other than on lease and road closures and traffic plan
It’s mainly selfishness that we all think our time is the most importantly whether we want to walk across a road or drive down the road or park the closest or get away first. It’s almost an illness our selfishness and it has consequences
It costs the club a 6 figure number to close the roads and they know it causes frustration for many supporters. You can’t just have a free for all though

It partly is of courseHarsh it costs the club when it’s not the clubs decision.
It’s the constant getting up and down to go to the bar which is horrific also. Rugby has been severely impacted by this. A constant stream, beer spilt etc.You also get covered in beer every time there’s a goal
not got any figures obv but just from a casual observation it looks fuller in there, especially for midweek games. That was only ever going to happen in extreme case, despite the warnings. Sadly, the easiest way is to get in the ground 1 hour before KO.The whole thing is a nightmare if you are trying to get a wheelchair through to the middle blocks in that stand.
Was going to ask about this as lots has been done to improve accessibility to the stadium but when it’s packed it’s pretty impossible to manoeuvre a wheelchairSadly, the easiest way is to get in the ground 1 hour before KO.
Move. I was in 23, there are better areas. 10-19?The club should have some rows in 1 block specifically for fans who need to regularly go to the concourse during a game. We have a woman on our row in block 23 who goes out at least twice per half, it's a real pain for the rest of us
Maybe a steward could usher the wheelchair users through the crowd? Walk ahead etc? Mark the floor to at least hint of a way through? Was going to ask about this as lots has been done to improve accessibility to the stadium but when it’s packed it’s pretty impossible to manoeuvre a wheelchair
I didn’t because I couldn’t think of a way round it that didn’t mean people being a bit less selfish
That’s why others should step upMaybe a steward could usher the wheelchair users through the crowd? Walk ahead etc? Mark the floor to at least hint of a way through?
Is there a volunteer group within the current structure…A bit like Coventry Ambassodors?
DoneThat’s why others should step up
I’m gonna suggest that to eamon who’s the accessibility lead
Yep it’s a super ideaDesignated Wheelchair "lanes" painted on the floor. Doesn't have to be everywhere, just from the most frequently used Wheelchair gate, to the designated seating area and toilets maybe. Just to remind people to be conscious that wheelchair users will be there at any time. And if you're there oblivious, supping your Stella standing in the lane, then you look a bit of a nob blocking the way.
It's never going to be strictly adhered to, but it may make people more aware.
They close at least 30 minutes before kick off now
Yeah I get that, people will still wait till they're finished drinking their beers or eating their food before entering the Arena.
To be fair, they seem to have cracked the queue/late entries. We stayed in Can Corner™ until about 2.45pm against Stoke and sailed through the North Stand turnstiles.
On that note, some more places to rest your food/drink on in the concourse would be welcome. Bit difficult to eat certain foods with one handYeah I get that, people will still wait till they're finished drinking their beers or eating their food before entering the Arena.
