Wtf is a digital ticket? If it means an app on a phone then I shall definitely not be using one. I shall remain true to my luddite soul. 😁
You might not have any choice in it, Man Utd season tickets are already digital only and they are not transferable & I suspect other clubs are doing it and we will in the next 2-3 seasons 😡

The tyranny of success. The last I heard on club policy on season ticket shares was it was tolerated/allowed, I note it certainly happens in seats near my own from time to time.

Definitely allowed not so much tolerated if it’s in the same bracket ie adult to adult , senior citizen to senior citizen
Be interesting if pictures start being added

I think they use Google wallet on android, not sure on iPhone. All my tickets for flights are in my Google wallet as well as concert tickets
What if someone hasn't got a smart phone or can't manage to use one?

Then you get a physical card but pay extra
Why should anyone pay extra? It is a trivial cost to issue a card and they can last years. I think they are already charging for lost card replcement or new cards.

We’ll see
Don’t get angry about hypotheticals it’s a slippery slope
I am not angry, just making clear my attitude, I won't be the only one who doesn't want to change or comply.

That has been an issue with a Man Utd fan who although he has a season ticket has to get a paper ticket to get in & the system thinks he isn't attending and they have removed his season ticket. There was an uproar and they backed down but it is an issue with those without smart phones.

Man Utd want unused tickets returned to the club so they can sell them again. My friend who is a STH can only miss 3 games and if he does he will not be allowed to renew his ST, next season it is 2 games. I don't know if he gets anything off Man Utd if he can't go & releases the ticket.

And surely they can use reusable cards 🤔
I am on 2nd season, same card, I am sure it will be ok for some years to come.

Won’t be doing that until we sell out

This system is at use at pretty much every arena in the country and multiple other venues such as all the AMG Academy venues and other football clubs have made the move. Its not an issue for anyone else so not really expecting issues for us when the move inevitably comes.

You get a refund for that game

It's a shame these supporters forums have some of the most pointless questions asked in them, because there are always 3 or 4 really good ones in there

It's like sifting through horse shit to find a diamond

Must pull your hair out at some of the inane drivel Pete

Some great questions such as the lease etc. Then people asking about DVD's ffs
It's a touch embarrassing some of that makes it to the football club owner isn't it. My eyes would be rolling into the back of my head if I was him.
Feel like he should have an assistant filtering through the drivel before it gets that far.

I once went to a Sky Blues forum and some chap spent ages talking about the limited availability of pin badges. 🤣

The chair removes a number of daft questions or repeated questions but if he does too much people complain
I think we could function better as a collection of supporters groups
Much like the club is streets away from past ownership models we perhaps need to be better too

The worst discussion was the road closures
Selfish people with loud voices saying just leave everything open
Doug then ever so politely explaining that doing nothing to mitigate 30000 people trying to get away from a big event just isn’t possible
That’s when the £120k figure came out
The frustrating thing is that if everyone was a little less selfish we may be able to go back to allowing cars and pedestrians to mix but the videos of near misses with cars going over red lights and pedestrians walking when lights are green the authorities have to do something to avoid serious incidents

Has it been pointed out that there isn't any ground, arena, large event etc. where you can expect to park on-site and be out the car park in a few mins? Do you think it's as simple as them forgetting that the only reason they used to be able to do it is that we used to get 10k at home games?

The questions from Sky Blues Talk are usually good as I think any not so useful questions have already been filtered out naturally by this forum.
Some of the questions raised by other groups sound like it's whatever was on their mind that day...

Could we not just lock the barriers on the 3 car parks and then open them when the pedestrians have cleared, then there is no need for road closures as well, saving £120,000, or is that too simplistic

Lots of people park close by, or get picked up, so you'd still have traffic. Plus there would be the normal A444 traffic with nothing to do with the football.

Slightly concerning that this forum appears to be the 'brains' among fan groups, but here we are...

Where there was an acknowledgment that things could be managed better, although out of the clubs hands, was in the car parks
Apcoa manage the stewards and they are supposed to manage the safe order so this will be a key discussions be interested to hear if it improves

It’s funny I think that’s the London supporters group and I know that you need different voices with different passions and focus to cover everything
For instance sometimes you need someone to just say what everyone is thinking
Other times you need an accountant to feed you key questions to undermine a chairman feigning transparency
Mostly you need a club that wants to engage with its supporters in meaningful dialogue and reactive to suggestions that are made to make things better
