very over dramatic
have you ever been to a fans forum? we had many with fisher at our worse times. the people who attend these are proper fans. Not the Twitter type. passions were high but never any trouble
he said in his press release it would be a fans forum. it’s clearly not. It’s an invite for groups who pay £20,000 a year and is a regular fans forum not out the ordinary
I’m sure there’s a wealth of level headed, savvy and humble people on this forum who could take his place.Genuinely Pete needs to stand down his role.
He’s acting like an anti owner type from the trust. He doesn’t represent anyone on here and his ego as well as character naivety means he should not attend the meeting.
Over the years I have yes, and most of the ones I have been too the same question is asked about 15 times just worded slightly differently by an over passionate fan.
I go to games and i agree with this. So fuck off back to your hovel
Too rightI

No offence folks.

Some people really have so little going on in life they'd rather try and make the most thankless jobs even more thankless.I

So posting that in this thread wasn't a way of... asking members if they agree with it? It's a discussion forum, it's what it's for. You live on here, I'd have thought you'd know that. Nowhere was it said that every post in here was going on the official list of questions, why are you getting so bent out of shape about it to the extent that you're demanding he step down, is that just your default state or something?
Can't order a taxi for the manager at the moment, so you're just trying it on elsewhere. Must be a fun life.

Your meltdown end acting like a child is fun
Fuck off you wank albatross
Those Chamber of Commerce lot are mental after a lunch time wine tbfDoug was due to be a key note speaker at tomorrow’s Coventry & Warwickshire Chamber of Commerce event with CWR’s Lorna Bailey being the compare. He’s now cancelled.
I dont think Pete is paying 20k a year.very over dramatic

so why did he mention in the statement saying details will follow knowing full well it’s invite only
he planned to go out today for media duties but soon backed out following the backlash
king has no experience in football. he has made many decisions rightly or wrongly on the footballing side. he needs to be held to account for these decisions
all good and well going on Talksport and cwr when the going is good. now the honeymoon period is over he is not enjoying the limelight
Details too follow can be interpreted in many ways it doesn’t specifically say fans will be invited and really beyond telling us the reasons behind why the decision was made what else is he going to say. The results haven’t been good enough and they’ve acted immediately in the hope of change.
I don’t buy the no experience, he’s put a structure in place which from the outside appears to be aligned with what other clubs at this level and above operate within, there’s arguments on both sides for the right/wrong decisions he’s made down the line but MR himself has come out and said what King has done to try drive us to the next level. Was this all lies or said under duress?
robins never aired his dirty laundry out.
even under sisu he was very diplomatic about them. did that mean he agreed with them?
look at the time line of events since king has come in
he comes in to the season where it finished with the team almost reaching the prem. king had zero influence on that
following season, changes start to be implemented behind the scenes. change at the top happen. Murmurs start of unrest behind the scenes with king taking full control of the club
we then don’t offer Lawerence a new contract when giving one to adi and robins.
Iawerence then leaves and in comes a performance director. this performance director then starts to make changes. As the changes happen performances on the pitch drop
In all this, players who would have stayed if offered the right money go and get replaced by bang average players
Writing was on the wall for robins when this new performance director came in
I agree with that. But you didn't support him when he was the present manager. No thanks - I support the club not a former manager
I think changes needed to be made to the non footballing aspects of the club.I read this forum enough to know you clearly have someone either behind the scenes or close enough that hear things which you then relay on here. Some info correct, some by your own admission way of the mark.
There’s clear agendas by some of the more vocal ITKs on twitter against King because of some of the right or perceived wrong decisions he’s made since coming in.
You’ve made all valid points, I agree to a certain degree of “if it ain’t broke don’t fix it” but surely you could see that changes needed to be made to not be left behind and try set us up to be a more professional outfit.
Ultimately if performances drop off on the pitch that’s for MR/players to rectify, nothing I’ve seen so far indicates that things were getting any better, you could say the way were started off last season was a carbon copy of this way before the new performance director came in.
I do agree to an extent but have you ever listened to the C&W phone in? We need a points system.I also agree with @GIMOC
A fans forum should be open to all, not just the representatives of a few select groups who may not wat to upset the club too much unless they lose their seats at the forum.
Worse than what? I'm trying to think about what could be worse than whats happened? Apparently we were in a relegation battle under Robins? We are in danger of making things even worse with all this pitchfork bollocks.
No you wouldnt, you under estimate the ease in which people spout off their opinions from the comfort of their armchair and over estimate their commitment to leave the house to do itI do agree to an extent but have you ever listened to the C&W phone in? We need a points system.
"I thought they were terrible, the atmosphere was awful and I can't believe we're paying player X this much! Robins out!"
"Did you go to the game?"
"No, my uncles dog groomers grandfather went to the game and he told me, before that I was a ST holder for 100 years but I stopped going because I don't like the beer they serve"
If you didn't limit it, you would get all the clueless morons, ie usual suspect on here.
It took you 7 years for your wish to sack Robins to be granted. Is it Kenny Jackett you want to replace Pete for this too?Genuinely Pete needs to stand down his role.

They were for valid reasons behind the scenes yes the third time left him looking lost but who upended things halfway through last season? Don't think we'll be getting Brighton's cast offs for a while unless it's one of coaching team!I read this forum enough to know you clearly have someone either behind the scenes or close enough that hear things which you then relay on here. Some info correct, some by your own admission way of the mark.

Why not go along with Pete then and ask questions you'd love to get answers to?
Completely agree and I think we’ve all been a little guilty in getting caught up with the new owner hype and the whole Premier League Season tickets, dream big, aim high crap.I think changes needed to be made to the non footballing aspects of the club.
The commercials of the club needed massively boosting from the club shop to sponsors to exec boxes.
The training ground actively put off new signings and needed updating and upgrading.
The academy needed security around its future too
And bloody hell we needed a new stadium deal too.
i dont think that many would disagree that on the whole, doug has done the above, fairly well but they are essentially BUSINESS decisions.
But on the pitch, the club had made incremental improvements every single season before his arrival, and when he told Robins to deliver a cup run, fuck me did he deliver a cup run, but that ultimately meant sacrificing a play off run with the exhausted, small squad. There was no pressing urgency to rush in a new coaching structure in one pre season and disrupt the part of the club that had been successful. Every single football related decision King has made (or Dr claire has made as his proxy) could be argued to be made poorly or wrongly.
It's not sentiment. This idea that (most) fans supporting Robins are dewy-eyed emotional buffoons needs nixing. Just a few months ago he took us to Wembley in perhaps the biggest game in a generation and had Man U on the ropes. We have never had a bad season under Robins. If you are anywhere under 40 and don't remember the cup final you will realise just how extraordinary that is. The only other time we finished top half over that period was Micky Adams 8th place finish. We've not started great which has happened before under him but are still in the FA cup and we aren't out of the play off race - it is entirely logical to conclude that Robins is our best bet for salvaging something from this season.Be honest, Take the sentiment away of the last 7 years and look at the performances of late, it hasn’t been good enough.
