Sky already desperate for Lampard. We will get a lot more coverage in the press.

Think there will always be some he says/she says about this saga and I don't think it's going to be particularly healthy going forward if we keep banging on about it .

Would love to hear Robins' side of things, but at the same time, I think it's right to tap out of this and just focus on the future now. What's done is done.

The king is dead, long live the king (don't mean the Doug one)

yep

if you’re a manager you’d probably be thinking twice about getting involved seeing the owner royally throw the previous incumbent under a bus, even after doing well previously.
It will absolutely no bearing on a new manager deciding to come here or not

One thing I like about King is he at least acknowledges the need to keep the fans onside.

Its a world apart from when Tim Fisher used to practically pick fights with us

Honest thoughts

Doug speaks a good game, there’s stuff about him I like and there’s stuff about him I also am a little bit weary of

End of the day his whole tenure at this football club is going to be defined by the last few days

In the interest of balance we could be sat here in a few months time looking back and there could be plenty of people having to admit his decision was in the end justified - Have to allow him to pick who he feels is best suited to take us forward and see how we get on!
And the flip side ?

And il put my hands up there's probably some bitterness from me towards doug for this sacking and that's maybe clouding my thinking , maybe mark ended up digging himself a hole who knows I'm just gutted how it ended for him here and wish it was him that took us to the top.

So I apologise for being bitter and angry towards people since Thursday .. this genuinley has ate me up a bit
Fair play bud, but it’s Coventry City - it get us all at the best of times and everyone who posts here wants the best for it.

I thought Doug sounded more and more arrogant as the hour progressed.

He basically hadn't done anything wrong. Everyone else was to blame. Heard it all before.
How would be to blame for anything?

If Robins chooses the players and the coaching staff and our results are below par - how is that the owners fault?

Again, had it been any other manager from 23/24, they wouldn’t have lasted this long. From DK’s perspective, after AV left, he became sceptical the team had the level coaching required to take us forward. We’re 17th and 1 point from the relegation zone, it was risk (in his view) to let a situation get worse.

If what Doug said is true, Robins shot himself in the foot with not wanting Adi, hiring an inexperienced group of coaches as a replacement, and was fired because he was too stubborn to see his own limitations.
DK said that Robins 'dismantled' the coaching squad. Is he referring to Adi's exit. or something more?

The King bombshell has changed everything.
Fair play to King for revealing the reasons in front of the fans, staying quiet over the last 5 days. Noble, but still a bizarre decision.
I can’t believe he’s being untruthful with the bare honesty of the reasons.
However, there was little warmth to Robins, who was portrayed as stubborn, and a control freak.
Didn't he also say the new guy will bring in his own coaches? So that’s Carr, Boateng etc on their way. Let’s hope this is done by next weekend
.

the games here on in, all we can do is just get behind the lads, support in numbers and sing out our frustrations in the stadiums and do what we do best and out sing the opposition...
Ive had enough for today.
Goodnight godbless
