You were there mate , how was it ?
Personally thought King threw everything negative at Robins and flatbatted anything else as a semi positive to himself
Bombshell threw everything out
The lady who asked the first question after that was great and he didn’t answer as was the lad of here after

It wasn’t very fair of him to throw mr under the bus but I can’t believe how many in the room and on here were like oh well robins is the past and king is the future so thanks but we move on
I don’t really like him he’s arrogant and answers as if he knows everything when he clearly can’t know everything

That said he fronted up and didn’t do bad - he didn’t really answer the question of why

It seemed to be because his coaches aren’t good enough and results are going to get us relegated which doesn’t quite work

A very fair appraisal as always from you.
Like you I didn't like the whole tone tonight

I’m very impressed with DK. He’s been very transparent. Didn’t have to do this tonight. We all loved MR but if we’re honest we know things were on the decline post AV exit.

DK cleared our debts, wants success with city like we all do. His explanations, plans and skin in the game (£Ms!!!!) means he’s obviously trying to move the club in the right direction.

As Dawkins and co have said on that Podcast thing on twitter. It's time to move on and back the team and back whoever gets the job

MR is a legend and will go down as a legend. But all good things come to an end and we all know performances haven't been good enough this season.

And I can see MR being stubborn regarding the coaches. God knows he's been bloody stubborn with his lack of use of players and substitutions over the years.

And as a result left us a few games away from non-league obscurity.

Jeez

What are you on about you plank?
What narrative?
I'm a plank for not agreeing with you? Your clearly anti King regardless of anything. Nothing wrong with being passionate but you need to read your responses to some other comments which make you sound hell-bent on everything which does not fit in with your narrative. To be fair tho I've been called much worse than a plank mate so cheers for being nice to about it .

I did agree with Doug saying the fans are wrong to act like it’s fine we started slow because we have the past two years and ended up alright. That’s not a winning formula you can bank on year after year.

It’s very different to Birmingham sacking Eustace when they were 5th. MR would still be manager if we were in the playoff places right now.

I am not anti King, he has improved many aspects of the club since his arrival and have no reason for me not to believe he is telling the truth tonight other than he is completely legally protected because all other parties have NDA’s t
preventing them to speak because of future payments to them and legal action agains them if they do as most NDA’s have standard clauses about not speaking ill of the employer.

That said, Robins and Adi did a bloody good job of hiding hating each other for the quarter final onwards last year, clearly looked like it as we celebrated at Wolves and at Wembley.
Time will tell because whether they ever work together again and how much truth was really said tonight.
I found it odd what he said about the class of coaching, I would be slightly worried and upset if I were them or getting my solicitor ready to maximise my NDA. If the coaches were not good enough, why employ them or allow Robins to promote two from within the club. Again, the city unseen overseas filming looks like they are getting on so I just find it odd.
have no problems with perform director etc, all part of being a professional outfit

Honestly, read my posts, yes I'm pissed off with King but I've tried to be objective.
I've said where I believe he's telling the truth and where he's lying.
I've said what I think he's done right and what he's done wrong.

But it ain't enough for the King fanboys, you've got to be all in on the doug train!

On the contrary he should have had feelers put out well in advance of the sacking. It's a cruel world. It's how businesses work. Now we have potentially several games with no manager.
No way in this day and age can you do that it would have come out on social media and if the situation now is bad ,this forum would have tore his head off.
If we have to have a few games without 1 so be it better to get the right man, but there are 2 weeks to work in which will help

He's explained things were already broken, tried to fix it with MR and AV, couldn’t. We move on. How long would you wait? I like his decisiveness. I want our club to be successful and appreciate his argument.

you think it’s a good trait to throw someone under the bus to save their face?

you think it’s a good trait to name drop a person about a job when king says he does all his business behind closed doors

so many gullible fans on here and in general

I hope I’m wrong but king is part of the problem

Hope I have egg on my face. I don’t think it’ll end well due his persona. robins worked with sisu and gave us our best times

let’s see if we get the same good times in the next 7 years

do you really think the reason they fell out was because of a newspaper article?

Pretty much where I sit currently

Can't give it the I'm the owner and responsible but only when it suits line

True but the reason given seems strange. The owner doesn’t think the timing is right?

If MR wasn’t interested, why have CR come to Ryton? Why did CR think it went so well a deal was going to be worked with the owner? Only to be told the owner said the timing wasn’t right?

Anyway you stack it up, someone’s not being completely honest.
There were a lot of evasive statements throughout. I can't remember the precise one used relating to the no.2 but perhaps 'no deal was ever presented to me' or 'nothing ever made it to my desk.' A barrister leaps on those because they are the kind of statements defendants make when they don't want to tell 'the whole truth.' (e.g. something hasn't reached them because they had an underling set fire to it.)

I'm not sure what I took from the whole thing tbh. I have always suspected that Robins was at least on board with the decision to remove Adi so this doesn't really alter my view on whether or not he should have been sacked. I was Robins in but I have always been minded to give DK the benefit of the doubt based on the fact that he is party to more (reliable) information than I am but the whole thing was a bit of a soap opera that raised a lot of plotlines I would like to see closed off.
