It’s normal to ice after game if no injury anyway. Icing will be part of recovery process for sheaf to help reaction as he returns.

Robins probably wants to make a point about midfield cover. He knows we are light and he will be setting expectations/making a point to DK. In the same way he did last season about fatigue/strength in depth when he was refusing to rest players against rotherham/Oxford etc.
IF Sheaf has been injured again, the inability reinforce CM is looking even more genius isn't it.

We all know that our midfield has really lacked Ben's leadership and experience so far but it will take a while to feed him back into the match day squad and build up his fitness. Seeing him for 20 odd minutes last night was a step in the right direction but people will be expecting him to start on Saturday and that just isn't realistic. Maybe Mark Robins is tempering expectations by saying that he's been icing his ankle so us fans don't get too far ahead of ourselves.
On the flip side for 70 odd minutes our midfield was the best I have seen it this season but the £150million worth of talent that Spurs were able to bring off the bench changed the dynamic. On that note I have to give shout out to Josh Eccles, I have been critical of him on many occasion but last night he was as good as I have seen him play in a City shirt.

We can play without Sheaf as we showed last night. At the moment we can’t trust him to be fit and is a ticking time bomb when he comes back from an injury. I like Sheaf but I would be looking to cash in on him next summer and using that money to properly sort out the talent and squad depth in CM.

We brought our 'captain' on, and we've capitulated again, including one howler from him personally. If you go through the stats of how we perform with him in the team, our form is weaker when he plays, which is a massive red flag for a captain. I know a lot of people think he's fucking fantastic, but last night was another example of anything other than leadership.
We lack some experience in midfield, and we are definitely a bit short in that area, but that should have been resolved in the transfer window.
He's on strike I tell ye!

Just because he was rusty as fuck when he came on, which he definitely was, doesn't mean we haven't missed him. Midfield is a huge problem area that should have been addressed so we could cope without him better, but here we are.

He's had 2 great matches for the City.
One versus Wolves. One versus Man Utd.
The others he has done what he did last night thrown in a shocking pass or two when sat in front of the defensive line & put us under pressure or cost us a goal. Too casual for me doesn't sense danger. That ball last night should of been into the right hand channel.
