The thing is we have to try and rush him back because our midfield is so feckin light....grrr why didn't we get someone else it cost us last night and will continue to do soBy playing when he’s actually ready and not being rushed back like every time he’s injured.
if you look back the easy pass was to BTA down the lineSheaf didn’t look 100% this evening and you’re quite right that the pass to Torp was a poor choice.
Just seen you had already noted this pointthe issue is we don’t have enough depth in the middle. robins and sheaf to a certain extent probably want to come back quicker than he should because they know we’re short
hopefully it’s nothing
Was it you @Saddlebrains who said when he first got injured the club didn't seem to know what the injury was? It still feels like that
Still, can’t have acceptable cover to prevent damage to a much more valuable asset. The type of injury it is can reccur easily if not 100% healed
It seems that we are playing a risky game with him at the moment
Tbf robins been silly saying what he did.
It’s normal to ice after game if no injury anyway. Icing will be part of recovery process for sheaf to help reaction as he returns.
MR should have known better than to say that in public domain as it would just create hysteria.
Jesus give it a break.Robins probably wants to make a point about midfield cover. He knows we are light and he will be setting expectations/making a point to DK. In the same way he did last season about fatigue/strength in depth when he was refusing to rest players against rotherham/Oxford etc.
IF Sheaf has been injured again, the inability reinforce CM is looking even more genius isn't it.
My son has a similar injury recently. "Stretched" ankle ligaments. Physio has advised even when it feels 100% he should ice it after each session/game.
I watched Sheaf warming up. He was doing the same exercises my son has been told to do.
Sorry, Doctor Saddlebrains and Doctor GIMOC have diagnosed him with a long term injury.
Where did I say long term injury you aardvark?
Literally just posted Robins comments
We all know that our midfield has really lacked Ben's leadership and experience so far but it will take a while to feed him back into the match day squad and build up his fitness. Seeing him for 20 odd minutes last night was a step in the right direction but people will be expecting him to start on Saturday and that just isn't realistic. Maybe Mark Robins is tempering expectations by saying that he's been icing his ankle so us fans don't get too far ahead of ourselves.
On the flip side for 70 odd minutes our midfield was the best I have seen it this season but the £150million worth of talent that Spurs were able to bring off the bench changed the dynamic. On that note I have to give shout out to Josh Eccles, I have been critical of him on many occasion but last night he was as good as I have seen him play in a City shirt.
He's on strike I tell ye!Tbf robins been silly saying what he did.

Thank you, checks notes, Doctor Saddlebrains. The type of injury it is can reccur easily if not 100% healed

In his defence he’s clearly not fully fit or match sharp. Brought on out of necessity to protect those who’ll be starting in 2 daysThe midfield has lacked Ben's leadership?
We brought our 'captain' on, and we've capitulated again, including one howler from him personally. If you go through the stats of how we perform with him in the team, our form is weaker when he plays, which is a massive red flag for a captain. I know a lot of people think he's fucking fantastic, but last night was another example of anything other than leadership.
We lack some experience in midfield, and we are definitely a bit short in that area, but that should have been resolved in the transfer window.
Just because he was rusty as fuck when he came on, which he definitely was, doesn't mean we haven't missed him. Midfield is a huge problem area that should have been addressed so we could cope without him better, but here we are.The midfield has lacked Ben's leadership?

I suffer from arthritic gout , it's not an injuryGout
I suffer from arthritic gout , it's not an injury
With what medical background or Sheaf specific medical history is this opinion based on?The type of injury it is can reccur easily if not 100% healed

Jesus give it a break.
turning a wholly positive experience and performance into a comment on not signing Marty Fucking James !
He's going to play after his leg has been amputated? That's a real captain! No he's fine for Saturday
At it again with the diagnosis DocNo he's fine for Saturday
He's had 2 great matches for the City. The midfield has lacked Ben's leadership?
