I felt for Kasey yesterday …. He isn’t a wide left player and when we have EMC, Wright and Tats that can play there it was an odd decision to give him minutes in that position. Robins still does odd things occasionally ….

For me palmer is a 10 but not as good as Rudoni ( early days accepted )

Any idea why the club didn’t allow the fans to watch both friendlies yesterday. Would have been a nice additional selling point ….

I just think I'm bloody odd because I didn't enjoy that game one little bit.

I just can't get past the fact that we lost.

I felt really flat afterwards unlike Tuesday night when I was uplifted by the performance and yes I accept yesterday's opponents were a different class to Everton.

Friendlies aren’t about results. They’re for fitness and getting players used to how the manager wants them to play, which I think they’ve done.

A few bug bears for me about conceding from a corner despite bringing everyone back, or winning the ball at the corner but having nobody to pass to, but every team is doing this now so at least the madness balances out at both ends.

No. Its a traditional german fan culture to have a guy leading the group of supporters. English fans claim atmosphere here is amazing. Watch anything in Germany and we are like mice.
I’ll have it that way every match we play. Do they actually watch the match? As for the drumming…Nah, we are the atmosphere, not 2 blokes drumming like they have a new toy. Credit to their fans of course, but it’s not for me. Remember vuvuzelas?

First time watching the newbies yesterday and aren’t they just a step up from their replacements.

Not only has Rudoni got the turning ability and feinting skills of O’Hare but he has the physical aspect that O’Hare lacked. He’ll be our player of the season this year-can’t believe nobody else took a punt on him!

Dovin has composure by the bucketloads and doesn’t shit himself with ball to feet-distribution top notch. I think he’ll have to get used to the more physical aspects of the championship and should have dealt with their first goal better but his positioning and shot stopping looks immense.

BTA will give us a great option if our main strikers are injured or off the bench. Mightily impressed by his pace and physicality especially against really tough German centre backs. Great signing.

EMC looked ok and again physicality immense a couple of German challenges just bounced off him. He didn’t really get a chance to put the afterburners on but you can tell he’s quick.

No idea why Robins persisted with Allen although I suspect he was protected Eccles (as Sheaf probably only ready for bench next week) and Torp needed game time in his legs.

Allen same as O’Hare for me-love the guy and he has his positives but often gets bullied off the ball especially when in possession in our half against the press. Upgrade needed.

Formation? Ok-ish and a great test against a very good side that pasted a strong Sheff Weds side.

Finally a word on Sakamoto. I just fucking love the guy. Crosses passes dummies and feints aplenty. That one touch pass from his own half to set Simms free 1-1 was world class. I just hope he gets the protection from the referees from the inevitable dirty bastard targeting he’ll get.

We’ll definitely Go close to autos this year but it does depend on keeping our key players injury free.

Probably because they would have incurred the costs of staffing and opening the stadium from 10:00 in the morning for minimal additional revenue.

Imagine if we’d signed Rudoni instead of Palmer a few summers back. The cost would have been about the same

Why do we need to upgrade on Allen who is essentially our 5th choice centre midfielder currently? More than happy to have him as a squad player for the final year of his contract

We're obviously after another midfield player and you'd hope that player would be an upgrade on Jamie Allen.

Meh, German football gets higher crowds, better atmospheres, costs less to watch and fan ownership is protected. Each to their own

I went to Leverkusen last year and trust me it pisses over supposed atmosphere in england. Go to a bundesliga game then we can have this discussion.

The over zealous authorities and safety nazis would try and stop that sort of stuff here. They’d say the flags were a fire risk, the drums were ear damaging and the guy with the megaphone should be slung out for persistent standing 😂

You’re also allowed a pint ‘in sight of the playing area’ at German games. Couldn’t have that here

In Austria. 2-2 wasn't it, in 4 x 30 minute sessions ?

Weds were 2-0 down and not even near it until Werder brought second team on after 60mins.

A very dirty game from all accounts was expecting it yesterday from them but it turned out that we were very much there match in that department.
