Stevenage ground is fit for purpose otherwise they wouldn't be allowed to stage games. Also have Ipswichs directors got them relegated to the first division? When in championship never heard club demanding rent reduction. If itd all about averages will you be supporting clubs decision when they decide to slash playing bill to league average?

One minute it's our ground is much better. Next minute when you get a comparison you don't like its because they got us relegated. Given the tone of some supporters on here if I was them I'd give the club what they want liquidation.

No they sold to council who then tried to increase the rent to £130,000 A YEAR. Ipswich ignored them and settled put of court at £15,000 a year.

Grendel compare apples with apples - we are a first division side due to mismanagement. Fisher is constantly talking about ave 1st div rents so any comparison to Ipswich is irrelevant. No one wants liquidation or admin but if it does happen it will be down to SISU/clubs actions no one elses

We are a first division side because of mid management 10 years ago. There is not one team that survived longer than us after relegation from the premier league in this division unless they got prompted with the extra sky payments.

So although it took us a few seasons to get relegated, including the final one in the Championship where we lost all of our decent players to get replaced by two GK's and one other player it was not the fault in any way of SISU we got relegated to whete we are now?

Comparison to what others pay is immaterial to the whole argument whatever division numbers you wish to utilise. As you agreed previously with other posters the longer this drags on it gives credence to the theory that this whole issue that the club have engineered is about driving ACL into admin and getting Ricoh on cheap

To be fair, if Sisu hadn't taken us over we'd have been in League One 5 years ago, and anybody(if anybody) taking us over then would have re-negotiated the rent payments for the Ricoh if we'd had a team to play professional football at all.
That's of course pre-supposing that Uncle Joe and his "ticking clock", or more correctly now "timebomb" scaremongering comments that if Sisu didn't take us over we were doomed were true of course.
Something I very much doubt.

I still think the best time would have been when the whole stadium agreement was signed in 2003. The Council had to agree to let the Club sell its share of the Ricoh project to the Higgs trust, had they not agreed the club would have gone bust, owning half the project.

Folks...SISU own/control us. SISU by nature of their business they will play hard-ball right to the last minute, just as they did when they took over. ACL are having their bluff called. SISU approach is somewhat bullying in that they want to push ACL to the absolute limit before agreeing. ACL could return the compliment & issue the winding up order...SISU know ACL need CCFC at the Ricoh & suspect they will not issue the winding up order.
Bluffs & double bluffs all round.
I suspect we will still be at the Ricoh, SISU will still be in situe & we will all carry on with a reduced rent less money to spend than we'd like, fewer fans than we'd like & L1 status until the end of this season at the very least.
