I did as you know and that's why I know how good you have to be to get anywhere near the professional game - and find it laughable when professional players are called 'shit at football' by some on here.
Absolutely fucking hilarious isn't it when our own players don't score as you can then try and score internet points?
Hmm, I’m not sure what other players being slated for absolutely nothing (re Hillßner who hasn’t even really played but is written off already by some) has to do with it. And yes, Walker’s goal was a tidy finish. Let’s see how many shots he needs to score over a season as opposed to one shot though, that’s the point (and I’m as certain as you that Walker will). People are saying “Walker had one shot and scored therefore he’s better than Biamou”. When Walker has had the same opportunities as Max, and scored a higher proportion — then we can compare them (in terms of goal scoring). No it was just funny how we heard he's the best striker of a ball at the club yet he contradicted it immediately after. Then Walker gets one chance all game and puts it away.
He isn't the answer to our difficulties. He's there because we couldn't move him on and we have nobody else-Baka seems to be in the bomb squad for other reasons. I don't think anyone in the side gets more leeway than him, genuinely. The likes of Hilssner have been pounced on pretty mercilessly for the crime of having asthma, while the boo boys were also after McF after he'd been our most consistent CB in the first half dozen or so games.
A bit disingenuous to use time (half a season) as a measure of Biamou’s effectiveness when he hardly plays, yet when people trot out the minutes per goal stats someone always counters it with some “stats are bullshit” statement. And yet you’ve just used a totally meaningless stat to make your point. He averages two league goals every half a season

Again, I’m not saying he’s the answer, is a great player or even is better than Baka (can’t decide, but for me Max is more effective than Baka at present, admittedly with less potential for improvement), what I am saying is let’s use the same metrics to compare them.
Who on here has written off Sheaf or abused him? He got a bit of stick first game (for being “ponderous” if memory serves), but since then has been rising in most people’s opinions. Facebook frothers don’t count. And Sheaf was written off and abused but the Biamou fan boys who get upset about players being abused were strangely quiet.
It’s Andy Morrell all over again, but even worse.
When you say he gets more leeway than other players, are you talking about the wider fan-base, or just on here? Because he seems to get his fair share of criticism on here...It was in response to the original point that Max is given less leeway than anyone else. On the contrary, I'm struggling to think of someone else who gets more. People don't want our players to do badly, they just understandably get frustrated when they throw games in the 97th minute (or 15th as Rose did) and keep missing gilt edged sitters. It's vital that we stay up this season and we've already thrown away an alarming number of points at both ends of the pitch.

Wtf, Are you seriously comparing Biamou and his inability to even grip his banjo correctly to 2 of the worlds best players. Put it this way, when Ronaldo or Kane miss a chance, you know they will more than likely score the next, can you honestly say that about Biamou? On that basis when Harry Kane misses his next chance or let's say Ronaldo commits the crime of hitting the bar in their next games - your conclusion will be that "well I heard before today's games that those guys were great strikers of the ball but on the evidence of one shot in one game - it can't possibly be true."
World beating logic that is.
Criticism is a fact of life for a pro player of any sport. They have to learn to live with it. As long as it’s not racist sexist or of a personal level it’s acceptable, they accept all the plaudits when they do well, so the criticism is justified when it’s dserved. You may see it as just "Professinal abuse" but some of our young players might actually feel it as personal abuse?
Or just undermining their confidence? It is when posters become persistent and vitriolic about certain players.
As for players "Don't give a fuck what we post" has been totally disproven if you follow football across the country. Mental Health is a big issue in all sports and society.

Just to put it into perspective for you,On that basis when Harry Kane misses his next chance or let's say Ronaldo commits the crime of hitting the bar in their next games - your conclusion will be that "well I heard before today's games that those guys were great strikers of the ball but on the evidence of one shot in one game - it can't possibly be true."

Just to put it into perspective for you,
Biamou’s best season for us was in league 2, when he scored 5 league goals in 40 appearances. Now take a second to take that in. 5 league goals in 40 appearances. What in those figures suggests he’s got the talent to score goals at championship level.
I’m not knocking his effort or commitment, which is not being questioned, I’m talking about a player who is simply above his level.
Your defence of him is admirable but your now bordering on loosing the plot.

Yes he did, and I’m on record on here for praising his performance that day.For fairness even though it doesn’t change much he did score 2 against Notts County which makes it 7

And for the record, I’m not a “Biamou fan boy”, and think we ultimately need better, but we are where we are and I don’t see what it achieves to say he’s “shit”. He’s no Messi, but he’s not shit.

Whatever happens, he will always be remembered for that performance.
Just out of interested, Kevin Kyle (remember him) got dogs abuse on here for actually having a better scoring record per game at a higher level than Max.
I’ve nothing personal against Max, I’ve simply pointed out that he’s not up to championship level. That’s not his fault, it’s just that we’ve been promoted twice in three years, but we’ve not had the budget to make the wholesale changes required to compete at this level.
I have had difficulty pointing this fact out to 1 or 2 forum members who seem to think that Max is somehow above any negative comments, and seem to want to rush to his defence at every opportunity. One such knobhead likened criticism of him to that of Ronaldo and Kane ffs, Honestly, you can’t make it up
I’ve just been reminded, that 2 of his 5 league 2 goals came in our embarrassing 6-2 home defeat to Yeovil. Of all the games to grab a brace in!For fairness even though it doesn’t change much he did score 2 against Notts County which makes it 7
He averages two league goals every half a season
I wasn't aware that was what people meant by 'selfies'! Or is he looking at his career after football and joined Onlyfans?Wtf, Are you seriously comparing Biamou and his inability to even grip his banjo correctly to 2 of the worlds best players. Put it this way, when Ronaldo or Kane miss a chance, you know they will more than likely score the next, can you honestly say that about Biamou?
What an odd way to put that down. Why not one goal every quarter season, or 4 every season, or 40 a decade?
Why is there the need to consistently be so disparaging about one of our own players?Thorn is to Fergie as Biamou is to Kane
Why is there the need to consistently be so disparaging about one of our own players?
Honestly I will never understand the value of always attacking one of our own - except perhaps if the player is disruptive or clearly doesn’t want to play in the shirt.
The only purpose of consistent put downs seems to be to score internet points - at the cost to the player and the team. We live in strange times.
