Agreed. But the goalposts (sic) may have moved since then. Especially if a developer becomes interested in the potential for multi use that does indeed include association football.Surely the primary tenant can protect themselves. Or are you saying SISU are so powerful they can force any groundshare agreement they desire?
If Millerchip is concerned he doesn't have to sell the lease. The sub lease holder certainly doesn't seem concerned.
The current clause allows it to be used for rugby. The amendment suggested by the council specifically excluded professional football.
Why would the goal posts get moved?Agreed. But the goalposts (sic) may have moved since then. Especially if a developer becomes interested in the potential for multi use that does indeed include association football.
Even of non league vintage

Duh. A business transaction that benefitted all parties involved. WOW, that's hard to defend.Would Wasps be here had the council not sold ACL to them?
Would that be the misled fans? Not sure any issues with the informed onesWhen you answer my question about fans and their issues?
Are sports teams just business transactions now? Maybe it's different to when the council were giving it the stuff about moving ccfc?Duh. A business transaction that benefitted all parties involved. WOW, that's hard to defend.

What would an informed one think?Would that be the misled fans? Not sure any issues with the informed ones

Business transactions? The sale of ACL was definitely a business transaction. It manages a sporting venue. Are sports teams just business transactions now? Maybe it's different to when the council were giving it the stuff about moving ccfc?
Tbf I think that was just a general insult. Some people are paranoid, I've been accused on this forum of being Bob Latchford and an GMK user . Well for the record I've never been on GMK and I'm definitely not Bob Latchford.
Council giving stuff about moving CCFC..... doubt I'll be able to work out what this well chosen wording means. Are sports teams just business transactions now? Maybe it's different to when the council were giving it the stuff about moving ccfc?
Are wasps not a sports team being moved then?Business transactions? The sale of ACL was definitely a business transaction. It manages a sporting venue.
Your point is what?

Dunno. Don't know anything about them or their history. I think they play in a kind of franchise leagueAre wasps not a sports team being moved then?
Tim, Wasps are infact a sports team, also owned by a hedgefundDunno. Don't know anything about them or their history. I think they play in a kind of franchise league

True but also would Wasps be here if we hadn't have moved away?Would Wasps be here had the council not sold ACL to them?
Before we moved we didn't own the ground. Would there have been anything to stop the council selling it to Wasps then? After all when they did sell it we were not playing in Northampton.True but also would Wasps be here if we hadn't have moved away?
I had exactly the same problem on Wednesday my quote mentioned that the CCC gave coventry taxpayers assets away for a knock down price of £14 million which was then revalued at £42 million by the Maltese hedge fund. That was was deleted by their moderatorsThere is definitely something going on with the moderation of comments too. Any that seems to criticise any side other than sisu get deleted, its so obviously because they leave the replies in which usually contain abuse about them being a "sisufanboy' or 'sisu stooge'.
I've commented before with no problem but then weds/Thursday I tried to comments on 2 articles basically saying that between them all incl sisu, they're doing a great job of shafting the academy, the club and us fans. Nothing liabilous, nothing abusive. Got the green I on saying waiting to be moderated before publishing. They were never published, but lots of sisu scum, sisu out, etc, etc had been posted, moderated and published after mine had been rejected.

Show me what evidence you have that Coventry City Council (or a member of their staff) made contact with Wasps (or any other 'sports team for that matter), to offer them the stadium.Oh Tim you are making yourself look bloody stupid.
The council may have done this, this and that might have happened, and if you think the council didn't bring Wasps here you have had your head up Lucas's backside for the last two years.
Most sane Cov fans. BLAME SISU,HIGGS AND YES THE BLOODY COUNCIL, for where we are
Dunno. Don't know anything about them or their history. I think they play in a kind of franchise league

No question. Tommy HutchisonTim, where do you stand on the team we had in the 70's or 80's.
Who was your favourite player,
But would it have come to the attention of the Wasp that is my point. Before we moved we didn't own the ground. Would there have been anything to stop the council selling it to Wasps then? After all when they did sell it we were not playing in Northampton.
But what gave them the push to go for it.Wasps already knew about it didn't they?
But what gave them the push to go for it.
Nick doesn't matter how you paint it Sisu made a complete Cluster Fuck of everything they have tried to do at City name one thing that has come good since they have been here just one......
I am struggling to think of anything.
They fucked up on buying the Ricoh there is no one else to blame.
They could have brought it before they started pissing everyone off, who knows they themselves may have got a really good deal.
They and They alone have put us in this situation.
Funny but no one wants to deal with the Club while Sisu are in charge no one what does that tell you does that suggest they are a nice company to deal with?
Or does no one trust them?
Noticed that myselfIf you look through old articles you can see "comment deleted" followed by "you are a sisu stooge"
I think somebody is playing the system somehow with the voting.
The other issue of course is that you can make endless accounts on there to comment
Well, that about sums it up. Spot on.I'm still bemused by the whole notion of a conspiracy around the demise of CCFC.
For me the simple fact remains - some talk business whilst others actually just crack on with it.
Let's look at the main players here -
CCC - Got their (don't you mean ours) money back.
Wasps - Own the Ricoh and about to build a training facility at Higgs (yes it will get through planning and not because of backhanders but because applications that fall within planning regs/laws have to be approved).
Higgs - sale of land/development of new Wasps training facility.
SISU - a lot of miffed shareholders - the constant fear of Tim Fisher ever speaking in public again.
CCFC - the possibility of nowhere to play plus no Academy.
True but also would Wasps be here if we hadn't have moved away?
The bias is shocking! why? because they are going with the majority which goes against your views.I was surprised when he said there wouldn't be a CT campaign to save the academy, etc. He said it was a "fan led " campaign and they were behind the Trust one. No posters, no truck driving around the city spreading the message. He also stated that the #bringcityhome campaign was "fan led" also all the blurb said "Telegraph Campaign".
Its bias is shocking.
To put in Rugger Posts.......Why would the goal posts get moved?
It was all but agreed well before we returned. Before we moved we didn't own the ground. Would there have been anything to stop the council selling it to Wasps then? After all when they did sell it we were not playing in Northampton.
It's nothing to do with majority? Shouldn't news papers go with the facts and the news? The bias is shocking! why? because they are going with the majority which goes against your views.
It was all but agreed well before we returned.
Sisu would have been aware of this and that's why we came back.
The bias is shocking! why? because they are going with the majority which goes against your views.
It's nothing more than a rag that is reduced to creating click-bait articles to drive revenue and pay their content writers (I wouldnt exactly call them journalists).
