To be fair - you (& others) are deliberately trying to slant this to discredit the poster rather than acknowledge the concept.
G is not a Nazi supporter, in the same way as I was not trivialising the holocaust in a previous post that I was lambasted for. It is simply a case of you choosing to focus upon & take issue with the non-issue

Why does it have to be coherent ? Your rambling nonsense about how the under 40's struggle getting on the housing market is somehow the fault of the older generation who seem to be responsible for consistent house price increase is laughable. But of course, these older folk all voted Brexit as well......If I am, it doesn’t say much for you’re inability to form a coherent argument against me.
Of course , sometimes one has to chose between a deposit on a property against the latest mobile phone and a Costa Coffee. Life's really, tough.By your own made up figures (again this isn’t actually Labour policy), each person still gets more than enough for a good deposit on a decent house. That 500k house is only paid off because they bought it for £100k then spent decades voting in politicians who implemented policies designed to raise house prices. That breaks the inter generational contract. That’s why the under 40s are pissed off. Your generation has good jobs, decent pensions, affordable houses, and free education. Then when you became the voting majority decided all that stuff is socialist nonsense and got rid of it.

It does trickle down, they will tend to spend more extravagantly

So...if taxes here reach a point where it is more cost effective, & a better risk-benefit ratio, to move their money elsewhere...they will do so.
They are clever enough to know that Labour is vindictively seeking to grab their wealth from them.
I'm sure that the vast majority of us would do likewise. Some will say they wouldn't, but imo it is only a small proportion of those that wouldn't in reality

So if you didn't have to pay your ex you would have equity in your own home.Mate. I bought in 2007 just before the crash on a 105% mortgage. I then got screwed out of my equity during my divorce. I am not winning. But I’m in the top 15% of earners, I can rent comfortably and will get back on the ladder one day. This isn’t about me, an entire generation isn’t stupid, lazy or lying dude, they really are having trouble getting on the housing ladder.
Exactly the point I think G was trying to make. The ruination of Germany that was bought about by Hitler's policies led to modern Germany booming like a Phoenix from the ashes.

I don't pay 20k for a mobile phone thankyou. I don't like avocados at all so why would I whine about them ? Perhaps you can enlighten me seeing as you know it all .If you’re paying £20k for your phone someone’s seen you coming a mile off. You’ll be whining about avocados next.
You took out a mortgage greater than the value of the property?. Someone saw you coming. You'll be whining that's someone elses fault. If you’re paying £20k for your phone someone’s seen you coming a mile off. You’ll be whining about avocados next.
You are well over 60. Remember telling everyone you voted in the 1970's referendum on the Common Market entry ?you‘re mad as a hatter. What old name? I am not a pensioner. You seem obsessed with my sex life, which is unfortunately not as colourful as you pretend.
Yes you did, actually.
It was offensive and yet you didn’t apologisefor it and bizarrely still try and be condescending and take the high ground with others on here.
The point on its own is bogus. The point in context is to try and go 'gotcha' when he brings up that Diane Abbott did something similar.
Erm...doesn't work out like that in practice does it? Massive tax cuts for the rich just tend to blow bigger holes in government revenue
What tax cuts?
If tax cuts are made they make a bit of a hole in the overall tax revenue. If Taxes are raised highly, the rich take their money elsewhere...that is a much bigger hole!

You and a small number of others decided to take offence...others saw the point. The outcome of the referendum was being trivialised by someone.
As for high ground, your nose is so far up in the air you cannot see high ground!

And your response shows you for the twat that you are.For G the point was to play gotcha with Diane Abbott. The argument is bullshit and you giving it credence shows you for being the hack you are.
Yes - do go for itShall we have a look at how the American budget deficit has changed since Trump took office and passed enormous tax cuts for the rich? We could also look and see what happened when they did the same under Dubya...and Reagan...and Hoover
And your response shows you for the twat that you are.
Your respecting or at least defending a racist just because she is Labour is totally against what you seem to claim you stand for!

....oh now, come on......The only twat on the whole of this thread is you.
I love how if Corbyn gets in that Starbucks, Amazon, Tesco and all the multi-national conglomerates will stop trading here the next day.
You probably won’t believe me but I refuse to purchase anything from Amazon - this is both due to its treatment of workers and the competitor advantage it gets from not having to pay business rates - not one political party addressed the business tax issues and as a result this company is given the opportunity to dictate retail strategy
I have never bought off Amazon for the same reason. But I nearly did once years ago. My wife wanted something. The only place I could find ut was Amazon. It wasn't just as easy as buying it and paying for it. They wanted me to register and all that. I came to my senses and pulled out of buying the item. Told the wife she couldn't have it.You probably won’t believe me but I refuse to purchase anything from Amazon - this is both due to its treatment of workers and the competitor advantage it gets from not having to pay business rates - not one political party addressed the business tax issues and as a result this company is given the opportunity to dictate retail strategy
So after 1316 pages of arguing, has anybody changed their mind on brexit here
I certainly wouldn't vote the same way again if we got another go. Although I'm not going to say that's all down to this thread! So after 1316 pages of arguing, has anybody changed their mind on brexit here

Yep, people hear trickle used as this buzzword that must mean that they’re sharing the wealth. The reality is that regardless of the yachts, private jets, penthouses, holiday homes, second and third homes they own day to day they spend a significantly less percentage of their expendable earnings than the man in the street does for exactly the reasons you say. They can only eat the same amount as the next man, they can only wear the same number of socks as the next man etc etc. The word trickle is actually the problem not the cure.
It doesn’t even begin to make sense. You think Bill Gates eats a thousand times as many meals as me? Wears a thousand time as many socks?
Of course not. He physically can’t. So he hoards and uses his wealth to extract rent from hard working people.
Don’t believe me, here’s a billionaire to tell you the same.
